This hotel is located in a beautiful spot. We had a beachfront room on the 2nd floor, with a fantastic view. Loved that all the windows can be opened for a breeze. Nice fireplace in the room (in wall type) which we only used once because it got too hot. Ceiling fan with open windows worked for us, also we loved hearing the waves at night. There… Read more

Nice fireplace in the room (in wall type) which we only used once because it got too hot. Ceiling fan with open windows worked for us, also we loved hearing the waves at night. There are nicely landscaped grounds with paths and plenty of outside seating areas. You have an expansive view from the top of a cliff. It was wonderful watching all the many pelicans swirling. Pismo Beach itself was beautiful, with lots of soft sand and it’s very wide, so plenty of room for all. Didn’t seem too crowded. There are many restaurants within walking distance; less than one mile each way. A beach path takes you to a series of steep steps; probably difficult for the elderly or small children. Coffee in the lobby, but the room had a small microwave and fridge. The room had a really nice, large big screen. The only disappointment was the pool. It is really, I mean, really small. Big chairs around the edges, no room for a chaise. They use a reservation system for the pool. We cancelled our pool reservation after we saw first a seagull, then a duck swimming in it, both within 30 min. of each other. Do the math: you can safely assume this happens a lot. Ick! There is already enough contagion going around. Social distancing seemed appropriate at the hotel; everyone had masks. I would come back! It’s beautiful here. Read less

I usually don’t write bad reviews but this hotel was extremely upsetting! We paid over $700 for a two night stay at this hotel. The rooms have no view and that’s ok but I mean the view is bad, just the parking lot. They have a no dog policy so we left our dog at home but several people had dogs in their room. The rooms have no view and that’s ok but I mean the view is bad, just the parking lot. They have a no dog policy so we left our dog at home but several people had dogs in their room. The rooms are clean but boring and dated. They don’t have any amenities in the room, no water, no coffee, no cups, no robes, I mean nothing... No one came to clean our room during the visit. I had to find a maid to ask for towels. I ran out of shampoo and conditioner. I tried calling the front desk several times... probably over 15 times and no one ever answered. The only positive thing was that we are close to the beach and there is walking path... that’s it. It’s not even bad service.. you check in and you get no service. You are on your own. Maybe they are working on a skeleton crew because of Covid but that is not the guests fault. They should staff accordingly. Not worth the price...pay the little extra and stay at the nearby by hotels... I’ve had better service at horrible motels!! I love Pismo and come here often, I will stay here again. Read less

Unfortunately, this place has declined in its attractiveness. There are groups of people yapping five feet from your front door. The room was stuffy, not clean, and the beds were uncomfortably soft and in need of replacement. The entire place needs a detailed overhaul, which should include relocation or removal of the fire pits. Read less

I really wish we could’ve spent more than just one night here. It was such a great hotel! We enjoyed the tall ceilings and indoor fireplace.
