Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great Hotel!

After reading some of the reviews I was nervous to stay here. When we arrived, check in was a breeze. This is such a cute little hotel. The rooms do not have AC, so be prepared for that. We just opened the windows and left the fan on and we stayed comfortable. It is so great being so close to the ocean! We never did use the pool. It was TINY and… Read more

We just opened the windows and left the fan on and we stayed comfortable. It is so great being so close to the ocean! We never did use the pool. It was TINY and reservations were hard to come by. The cleaning crew was always set up right ourside our room so it made navigating the outdoor paths difficult but they never bothered us. The parking lot is crowded but we always found a place to park. Maybe think about doing assigned parking per room? I would 100% stay here again! We loved the firepits! Read less

Overpriced, noisy and nice outdoor public space dont mix. I want to know what room # all the "excellent" reviews came from since it wasnt mine (#723). I could hear the roar of both the 101 freeway and frontage room along with a playground from the adjacent property. For $225+ a night, this in my opinion was overpriced.

We visited the weekend before Labor Day. We had reserved 3 rooms via Booking.com, and greatly overpaid. If you plan to stay here, book through the property's website, or call them directly. As a California resident, we could have saved 30% by booking directly, which would have made our experience more palatable, We tried to call ahead, but nobody answered the phone. Only one desk clerk, who was busy. A little additional staffing would be helpful. Clean, comfortable room. No A/C, but there was a ceiling fan. Property is right on the ocean, but it was humid. We rented 3 rooms for the weekend. Everyone complained of the soft mattresses. Property is between 101 freeway and the ocean. Our room was near the freeway, so lots of traffic noise all night. If you choose to say here, request a room far from the freeway. Completely sold out Friday night. There was a charger for our Tesla, but it is VERY slow. Luckily, no other Teslas that weekend, so we were able to stay plugged in to get a full charge, eventually. Nice view of the shoreline and lots of pelicans and other sea birds. Due to COVID pandemic, no daily maid service, but we were able to get clean towels by asking. No food service on the property, but it is a short 20 minute walk to town. Read less

First time in Pismo Beach. Was not disappointed. I loved the direct access to a private beach. Hotel staff was very accommodating and honest. A little older hotel but the staff very much made up if you feel you wanted a more modern hotel. They observed COVID 19 precautions well so I endorse them as I am a nurse. They were very safe! Unfortunately, we didn't have the same experience as others have had here. First of all, there is NO air conditioning. And it is really really hot in the rooms. There are 2 windows in the front that open but it didn't provide much relief. There were a colony of ants in the bathroom, a dead headless rat outside the back door, and our TV wasn't working (a really nice guy from maintenance came an brought a new cable box and gave us a S'mores kit for the kids for the trouble), and b/c it was so hot people had their doors open and they were partying late into the night, so we didn't good sleep. The communication at the front desk wasn't great.. we didn't know we could request a coffee pot for the room (we ended up getting one the 2nd day), and we also weren't told they were providing free coffee in the lobby. The location is beautiful and the beach was amazing... We were just disappointed b/c the pictures of the rooms and what we actually got were very different. For almost $300 a night, we expected more of a hotel than a motel. We won't be staying there again next time we visit. Read less
