We recently stayed at the Mandalay bay this July 2019. The reason for my review is the following: The hotel has so many hidden fees and little surpries the tenant is not expecting when they arrive. They do not tell you when you make your reservation that there will be an additional $200 deposit fee. Also anything in the room that you accidentally knock over or move by mistake they charge your card. We were charged for $100 worth of stuff in the mini fridge that we did not use or touch. This is not communicated at the time of check in. The company needs to work better on how to get this message accross to their tetants prior to arriving in the rooms. Everything should be crystal clear. Also sunday 22,2019 the elevators on our floor stopped working while we were entering the unit. There was a loud alarm that was set off in the hotel and the elevator's firefighter button was on and we got out panicking. After we stepped out back into the floor, the doors closed and the elevator was no longer working. We had to take the stairs to get to the main lobby and we were on the 14th floor. Keep in mind the alarm is blarring and the elevators are not working, and we have not idea what is going on. So we are so scared, we then had to walk for a while to get to the bottom of the lobby and out into the street. Overall I was not happy with the experience. Room service, did not provide enough towels. I really hope I get refunded the money for the items I did not use or touch from the hotel. This is just ridiculous! Read less

I think the title speaks for itself but let’s try this again. The room was covered in blood, every seat. We found a pubic hair in the bed next to rat droppings so Mickey must of had one hell of a night. The tub made the noise of satan and then didn’t even supply any water. But hey, they gave us $150 dollars in food credit, and our hungover friend… Read more

We stayed at Mandalay Bay for a quick weekend away from home. It's not the first time and so far it won't be the last. Service is always nice, polite, generally prompt and not condescending, something we have run into in other hotels. The regular rooms are spacious and comfortable. One thing we do dislike is the mini-bar. It's wastes counter space and refrigerator space in our opinion and there is no way we will pay those prices. If you drive in, bring a cooler, snacks and beverages for the room. Shark reef is small, but a nice getaway. It's located in the convention center area. There is also a food court back there. We ate at Red Square and enjoyed it. Next day we went to an Ace's basketball game, that was fun. Most of the trip was hanging out in the sport book or casino or room. We had no intentions of leaving air-conditioning to visit anything else on this trip. Manday is close to the airport if anyone needs to know. There is a free tram that will take you all the way to Excalibur, or you can walk through all the way through the Shops at Mandalay Bay that connect to Luxor, then walk through Luxor to the connector to Excalibur. I recommend saving your feet with the shuttle. After the shuttle, you can walk to New York, New York and look around then DO check out the the new Park that is located between NYNY and what used to be called Monte Carlo but is now called The Park. There is also a free tram that will take you from there all the way up to Bellagio, with some stops at Aria. Some easy ways to get around when you have time, energy and the weather isn't blazing. Our most recent visit was planned specifically to just stay inside. Overall, we had a very nice relaxing weekend. Read less
