Park MGM Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

The Las Vegas hotel scene’s buzzing with resorts vying for the limelight – and this Strip-side hotel’s ready to outshine them all. Reimagined and revamped, it’s super-sharp from design to dining. An outrageous tree root sculpture snakes over its lobby; and the garden influence continues with its forest green palette, the al fresco Provencal feel of its Primrose restaurant, and the elegant pool oasis, where swanky cabanas, sunken sun loungers, and poolside service evoke a South of France vibe around its three pools. Of course, Park MGM Las Vegas hasn’t forgotten its roots (or its location on that all-American mainstay, The Strip) so you also get State-side classics like Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar (where the cool crowd slink straight to the back for a seat in a secret ‘speakeasy’ lounge). No wonder the Park MGM attracts headliners like Cher, Queen, and Lady Gaga.

The Park MGM is such a nice manageable hotel. You park and immediately walk into the check in desk. No long walk, no drama. The casino is small enough to be anywhere in a few minutes. You an walk into the Aria from inside the MGM in a few minutes. The pool area is great with a fantastic area in the shade to rest. Rooms are a little drab but… Read more

Booked a room here to see Mariah Carey. Thought it would be convenient to just walk downstairs to see the show, and the reviews seemed solid. The mobile check-in kiosks in the lobby made check-in pretty easy. However, when we got upstairs to our room we were pretty underwhelmed. It did not feel like a 4-star hotel, more like a motel. There were no small appliances. I expected a coffee maker at least. The room wasn’t very clean either. I found stray hairs in the bathroom and dust around the headboard and bed frame. I have allergies, so I did not sleep well. The bed was also very low and not that comfortable. Finally, the water pressure was great, but it drained slowly. I had to turn the water off in the middle of my shower to let it go down. We ended up next door at the Waldorf the night of the concert anyway, so booking here was a total waste. I would return for the concerts, casino and food court, but I will never book a room here again. Read less

Hidden fees on arrival, poor rewards programs, uncomfortable beds, nothing special, no one to help or answer questions. No where to eat after the show was over
