I was never contacted prior to my arrival so I could reschedule rooms at a different hotel. 2 days later I requested a different room, and magically they had a family suite available? The rooms feel dirty. They are clean in a sense of being vacuumed and wiped down, but furniture needs to be replaced, and carpet should be torn out. They staff was friendly, but the accommodations compared to other hotels was well below normal. Portofino is holding on to their location as their biggest value, however, with comparable prices at the adjacent Marriott hotels, they are going to need a major upgrade, or cut their prices in half. I reserved three rooms with them starting on Christmas. On Christmas Eve (at 3pm), they emailed me auto-notifications that my reservation had been cancelled (with no explanation). After hours on the phone, I found out that they were overbooked so decided to run my credit card before I arrived (in violation of their stated policy). The card I'd originally used to hold the reservation had been replaced because of unrelated fraud. Rather than call me and ask for a new card, they just cancelled my reservation. And because they were overbooked, even after I called and offered a new card, they said I was out of luck. I was forced to spend Christmas Eve fighting on the phone with them, and scrambling to find a new hotel for the next day. I also emailed them a detailed description of this incident to give them a chance to make it right before posting this review, but never heard any reply or apology. What kind of reputable hotel does this to its guests? What terrible customer service -- BEWARE. Read less

All basics are there, very polite and helpful front desk staff. Though when I asked for utensils, they didn't have any :). I could hear the kids' heavy footsteps in the room above us, but that should be more about the guests, not the hotel.

Check in was ok, I think their resort fee is a bit high. Wifi worked well. Car parking was complimentary but very hard to get a park, even in the multi-storey car park.p, and it’s a long way from the rooms. Good location from Disneyland. Check in service was good, check out was very unattentive, she looked at us once then turned away and continued on her phone call rather than a smile or something to acknowledge us, so we left the key and went. Rooms are fine, clean and comfortable enough. Read less

After reading favourable reviews and seeing great photos on their website, made a reservation. After reading favourable reviews and seeing great photos on their website, made a reservation. Did not get the kind of room we reserved, but a ground floor dungeon where we heard people in the rooms next to and above us, including someone throwing up, yuck. Hot tub is tiny and has excessive amount of chemicals so that your eyes start burning before you are even in. Shower floor is slippery, be careful! Definitely NOT the place for romance. Not the happiest place on Earth, try somewhere else. Read less
