The hotel

It's all about the location at this large ‘Disney Good Neighbour’ hotel. It's just a 10-15 minute stroll from Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney. If you want to save your energy though you can jump on the shuttle that picks up and drops off right outside the hotel. But before you go, stop at the Disney® Desk, where cast members can give you some insider tips. Fancy a day off from the parks? There’s an adults-only indoor pool and hot tub, plus an outdoor family pool and a water play area. Win-win. And after dinner you why not head to Mix Lounge, set in the lively atrium lobby, for a signature cocktail or glass of something from the extensive wine list.

Originally reviewed in 2019, this is an update for 3 nights in 2022. LIKES: Proximity to convention center is a huge plus Large room Comfortable bed Soft towels Starbucks in the lobby Clean property Quick elevators DISLIKES: Noise seems to travel from adjoing rooms via the window area. At first I thought it was from the parking lot, but that was 8 stories below me. HVAC is this particular room on the 8th floor tended to blast cold air directly to the computer desk. A vent deflector could fix that. You'll want to turn the AC off otherwise. Again, room lighting is barely acceptable. The celing light near the mirror by the bathroom was a low-wattage CF bulb. It's 2022. Put in a 75W LCD! Still need to use your phone to find the power outlets under the computer desk Still no USB jacks next to bed (but there was one available power outlet (the other was used by the clock) Bathroom lighting still mediocre at best and no lighted portable mirror. Guys will need to shave by feel. SUMMARY: This hotel is a mixed bag with mostly positive attributes. They've managed to update the size of the TVs, but other concerns are unchanged. I think perhaps the expectations are higher when spending $300 per night (and not being in Manhattan). Hotel lighting is an ongoing issue in many hotel chains and not unique to the Hilton or this particular property. Still, if I return for another convention, I'd likely stay here versus the Marriott next door. Read less

This is a dated hotel with exceptionally busy public areas. We were in a suite which was very spacious and very clean but also very tired. It's a good 20 minute walk to Disney but this was fine. Wouldn't return, Id have a look around for a newer hotel.

While large, we were a bit disappointed that our room was fairly old and in need of updating. It also was not soundproofed very well and we could hear a lot of noise from the surrounding rooms and hallway. The restaurant downstairs was also lacking in options for those with dietary restrictions (we are vegetarian and vegan). All and all, we would rate our stay average - helpful staff and large rooms but in need of updating and soundproofing. Read less

Ugh - glad I’m only staying here one night. Rooms are extremely dated, with faded stained carpet, jenky 90’s fixtures in the bathroom, and locks and door hardware almost too out of plum to latch. Here’s a pic that says it all: not worth the price!

Overall nice hotel and great staff. As gold members we were told we had $15 per person (up to 2 people so $30 total) per night to spend at Starbucks. This was great and there was also a line for gold members at Starbucks so also awesome. But when we got home we were charged $30. I called to ask why and no one could tell me and staff asked me to… Read more

This was great and there was also a line for gold members at Starbucks so also awesome. But when we got home we were charged $30. I called to ask why and no one could tell me and staff asked me to write to the hotel which I did and have not had a response. I’m really annoyed at that. If you’re staying there to visit Disneyland please note that door to door will be about 20-25 min walk. Read less
