Beverly Wilshire a Four Seasons Hotel

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel

Full disclosure: Hector Elizondo isn’t actually the soft-hearted manager of the Beverly Wilshire, but the spirit of this iconic upscale hotel on Rodeo Drive is very much as it appeared in Julia Roberts’ breakthrough movie, Pretty Woman: elegant, immaculately finished and a true event destination that’ll elevate the glamour of any LA stay immeasurably. From Cut, Wolfgang Puck’s Michelin-starred take on the steakhouse, to the serene, Mediterranean-style pool, and world-class Spa, the Beverly Wilshire offers an unforgettable flavour of Hollywood highlife that’ll stay with you long after the credits roll on your dream holiday.

Staying at the Beverly Wilshire is always a treat, but this business trip was better excellent. From a smooth late night check in to an unexpected upgrade, Angel knew my name, my tastes and my wishes for a super stay. If you are looking to be pampered and have all the amenities of luxury, this is the place for you.

Classically styled hotel in the heart of Wilshire & Rodeo in Beverly Hills, with easy access to all the high-end shopping nearby if that's your thing. Our room was large with a view of Wilshire, and the hotel was nice enough to send us a welcome treat. The decor was not modern but did not feel dated either - nicely kept to the hotel's historic character. On the other hand, I personally thought the recurring "Pretty Woman" references were a bit cheesy for a high-end Four Seasons hotel like this. The restaurant was good but be aware that especially on the weekends you need to book ahead, and nearby restaurants get pretty filled up too. This was probably the one time in my experience that a Four Seasons hotel was not able to accommodate or satisfactorily arrange a dinner for us on or near property (other than room service), though in all fairness we gave short notice. There are a lot of great hotel choices in LA, and this is a good one for special occasions like honeymoons and anniversaries, or if you want to particularly be in this part of Beverly Hills for the shopping etc. Read less

From the moment you pull up to the minute you depart, this hotel really understands service. The staff is exceptional in making you feel as though you’re the only guest that matters and goes way beyond other hotels in ensuring you’re more than satisfied. Thank you Wilshire. I always enjoy my stay with you.

Excellent service by happy and welcoming staff, from the doormen, valets, front desk, poolside, and waiters. Pool was relatively small for the size of the hotel. However, it was very warm, much warmer than the majority of hotel pools that we have visited. Fitness room was bright, sunny, large, clean and contained lots of new equipment. Suite was… Read more

However, it was very warm, much warmer than the majority of hotel pools that we have visited. Fitness room was bright, sunny, large, clean and contained lots of new equipment. Suite was large, bright with luxurious white bedding. Balcony overlooking the pool, had seating for two and there was a view of downtown LA. Hotel restaurant prices were ridiculous. However, there are many fantastic, high quality eating options within easy walking distance. Read less

While we had a terrific experience with the hotel, we had an exceptionally poor experience at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant ("Cut"). Our experience-- like many others i noticed in reviews (I should have listened to them!) included grossly overpriced food that had poor quality beef and even worse preparation and presentation. This was my first "less than perfect" experience with Four Seasons. Read less
