Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel

Living the high life in more ways than one, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is every bit the VIP pad – especially when you’re up on the exclusive rooftop pool deck, soaking in the 360 degree views as you slink from your private cabana into the glimmering pool for a dip. With its balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, your guestroom delivers its own jaw-dropping views of the Boulevard, hills, or LA skyline. And the views inside are just as dazzling, whether you’re eying up the sparkling cocktails at its French-inspired Lobby Lounge; the glamour of La Prairie Spa; the fine dining masterpieces of its French-American restaurant (under the helm of celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten); or the beautiful coastal Californian interiors by creative genius Pierre-Yves Rochon – who’s used muted greens and golds and delicate woods and whites to create an art deco garden vibe.

The Property is super clean. They even have a robot that comes in after cleaning staff to sanitize. Location is the Top. Allow me to say are understaff and as guest you feel it. In Los Angeles it is my favorite place without any dubs.

The property, location, and room were great and comparable to what we would expect and have experienced from other properties at Ritz, One & Only, Four Seasons and similar locations. Unfortunately the service, especially at the hotel restaurant and check in were disappointing. An attitude and air of pretentiousness permeate the place. We’re not strangers to fine dining or luxury hotels, spending most of our recent road trip in our Aston Martin sampling Michelin star restaurants and staying at FHR luxury properties, but at this location even the simplest requests seemed too exasperating for hotel staff. As just one small example, after a pleasant dinner at Nobu in Malibu we were turned away from all options to obtain an evening cocktail, the most basic of hotel amenities. During brunch the following morning, our waiter rarely visited our table and it was clear we were not “special” enough for the service we would expect from this type of property. We also were asked for ID multiple times during the check In process making us feel questioned about whether we were “worthy” to stay there. We are Marriott ambassador status but due to recent changes in the program had considered making a change to Hilton. Unfortunately the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills was able to change our minds on that plan quickly. We regret that we did not have a more favorable experience staying at your property. Read less

They were disorganised and clueless, maybe because they were fully booked out, unless they are majority walk-ins, should be much more organised. They views are great, rooms are new and contemporary, food is decent, JG rooftop from the food side was a disappointment, but the views are great.
