Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel

Living the high life in more ways than one, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is every bit the VIP pad – especially when you’re up on the exclusive rooftop pool deck, soaking in the 360 degree views as you slink from your private cabana into the glimmering pool for a dip. With its balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, your guestroom delivers its own jaw-dropping views of the Boulevard, hills, or LA skyline. And the views inside are just as dazzling, whether you’re eying up the sparkling cocktails at its French-inspired Lobby Lounge; the glamour of La Prairie Spa; the fine dining masterpieces of its French-American restaurant (under the helm of celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten); or the beautiful coastal Californian interiors by creative genius Pierre-Yves Rochon – who’s used muted greens and golds and delicate woods and whites to create an art deco garden vibe.

Came to visit my sister in LA and so grateful we had the opportunity to enjoy this stunning hotel! The current state of the world afforded us some time we certainly will not likely get at this property again - like having the rooftop pool all to ourselves! Beautiful blue skies and Mimi at the pool really went out of her way to look after us. Thank you Mimi for being a bright spot in our day at the pool! The front office team of Ampie, John, Josh, Amanda and Mark were spectacular! I fielded numerous requests via the IPad as well as physically going to the desk; and each request was met with genuine care! My hat goes off to the entire team for continuing to deliver fantastic service, even in the face of all the adversity our hospitality industry is in at the moment! Houseman Art was kind and attentive; and I wish I remembered the lovely housekeeping, IRD and valet team member’s names! Everyone I encountered was so thoughtful. Vanessa must be proud to have the talented family she has at this property! The hard product is equally impressive. From the bedding, to the pillow menu featuring down body pillows and lavender (or chamomile) sachets, to a fun and eclectic minibar, to the Jean Georges IRD menu; my sister and I were left wanting for nothing. I’m looking forward to many happy returns here, and getting to experience the La Prairie Spa, fitness center, and the restaurant options galore when reopened! My sincerest thank you to all of you. I have never stayed at a Waldorf Astoria before, glad the Beverly Hills property was my first experience. Stayed here with my daughter on March 8, and we completely enjoyed the experience. From the personal escort to our room to the final check out the stay was an experience, not just a place to stay. The room amenities are beyond expectations, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel is within walking distance of Rodeo Dr. and too many restaurants to count. If you don’t feel like walking just reserve the house car, it will take you within a three mile radius. The Rolls Royce took us to dinner the night we stayed there. All that being said, a hotel is nothing without an exceptional staff. I wish I could remember the names of all I came in contact with, because there was not one member of the staff I could not praise. If you have the opportunity do not hesitate to book your stay here. I hope to get back and spend a few more nights here in the future Read less

(swoon). The could use some slight improvement: The in room dining menu and the pool menu. Would just love to see a little more variety in offerings. Overall, this stay was impeccable and we will be back (as soon as possible). Read less

Stayed here 3 nights in February and I was very impressed . This property had the potential to be one of the finest hotel I ever experienced The Pros Outstanding Room with all kinds of impressive amenities and high tech accouterments...It was a best of the best first class experience As a Diamond Honors Member I received a generous daily credit instead of a breakfast credit . I had the best Eggs Benedict I ever had The Service in Jean Georges was superb from breakfast to Dinner and after eating there three times I can see it was the best trained staff I ever experience in 40 years of traveling and entertaining at many many white tablecloth establishments around the world .It was pricey however but you get what you pay for .Since I was not on expense account I would suggest a wine list with more wines in the $100 - $150 range (more like a Capital Grill Wine List ) The Front Desk Staff was also exceptional in every way very friendly welcoming attentive and showed us to our room on check in . Morning Coffee ! Bravo ....more hotels should offer an early first class coffee service for those of us coming in from eastern time zones The hotel is perfectly located between two Starline Hop on Hop Off bus stops which was perfect .We always have done hop on hop off in Paris Dublin London and Edinburgh Scotland .I highly recommenced this to get acquainted with the area including BHs Hollywood and Santa Monica The Cons On a tee shirt short sightseeing days two times were followed in to the hotel by doormen and asked if we need help " finding our way " despite keys required in the elevators this was clearly a signal that a doorman was questioning our presence and I was insulted by it . Did we belong there ? I made no mistake by the unnecessary implications ...Training needed here The Mini Bar attendant insisted on entering our room to check our bar as we were relaxing .My wife told her we did not use it but my wife's word was not good enough she needed to see for herself .No excuse Everything in the room was perfect except the shower set up the toilet is in the shower area with only a curtain .Our drain was slow and water went under the curtain to the sink area .We asked to have the drain cleared but it did not happen The rooftop bar was closed .we were disappointed All in all I still rated five stars but with six star potential Read less
