The hotel

Living the high life in more ways than one, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is every bit the VIP pad – especially when you’re up on the exclusive rooftop pool deck, soaking in the 360 degree views as you slink from your private cabana into the glimmering pool for a dip. With its balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, your guestroom delivers its own jaw-dropping views of the Boulevard, hills, or LA skyline. And the views inside are just as dazzling, whether you’re eying up the sparkling cocktails at its French-inspired Lobby Lounge; the glamour of La Prairie Spa; the fine dining masterpieces of its French-American restaurant (under the helm of celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten); or the beautiful coastal Californian interiors by creative genius Pierre-Yves Rochon – who’s used muted greens and golds and delicate woods and whites to create an art deco garden vibe.

Beautiful hotel: however, it's all surface like LA. Hate to write this but the service providers were as snooty as the guests. The doormen saw that I was struggling to carry my bag to my Uber because cars were blocking the driveway, yet they stood there talking. The spa attendant questioned if I was a guest. The doormen saw that I was struggling to carry my bag to my Uber because cars were blocking the driveway, yet they stood there talking. The spa attendant questioned if I was a guest. The room service person who delivered the ice (after waiting for 30 minutes, mind you) didn't even bother setting the bucket on the table, but rather shoved it in my hands and left. I know this is Beverly Hills, but was I supposed to serve the employees too? Read less

Mars Panlasigui (General Manager on Shift) really went above and beyond. The hotel is fantastic, love Waldorf properties, especially the newer ones. Would certainly come back. Great food and also a very nice gym. We enjoyed our balcony and all the details.

A phenomenal view, great service and fantastic location, right in the heart of Beverly Hills but not too close to the tourist craziness. Super close to Rodeo Drive, very walkable. The restaurant at the rooftop is delicious with a very inviting menu. Their spa is beyond!

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills reminds me of a luxury yacht – it’s expensive-looking for sure, but it’s not understated or tasteful. Lots of shiny mahogany. It’s for the flaunters and gloaters, a true LA experience. The soft product is decent. We were addressed by name inconsistently, and no one made an effort to be friendly or personable. It’s for the flaunters and gloaters, a true LA experience. The soft product is decent. We were addressed by name inconsistently, and no one made an effort to be friendly or personable. But all I ask for is professionalism, so this satisfies. The welcome gift was good but minimal. The breakfast was surprisingly great, since they had just switched restaurant teams. You’re paying ridiculous LA prices, of course. The location is good not great – not central Beverly Hills, and a good ten-minute walk to Rodeo. I don’t mind a ten-minute walk, but LA is a very pedestrian-unfriendly city. The views at all angles are stunning though. This ultimately satisfies all the boxes, but I’d try other classic Beverly Hills properties before coming back again. Read less
