Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel

Living the high life in more ways than one, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is every bit the VIP pad – especially when you’re up on the exclusive rooftop pool deck, soaking in the 360 degree views as you slink from your private cabana into the glimmering pool for a dip. With its balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, your guestroom delivers its own jaw-dropping views of the Boulevard, hills, or LA skyline. And the views inside are just as dazzling, whether you’re eying up the sparkling cocktails at its French-inspired Lobby Lounge; the glamour of La Prairie Spa; the fine dining masterpieces of its French-American restaurant (under the helm of celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten); or the beautiful coastal Californian interiors by creative genius Pierre-Yves Rochon – who’s used muted greens and golds and delicate woods and whites to create an art deco garden vibe.

They opened the door for us and asked if we needed assistance getting our luggage out of the car. When we got to our room it was a very nice room with 2 queen beds. The pancakes from room service are very delicious. There was Alexa control and I kept playing around with the lights turning them on and off. It made my dad upset. The next day we went to the pool on the roof. It's a very nice pool. PS - I am a kid rating this hotel and my dad makes a lot of deals so he got the hotel stay for free. I would give it a 10+++++ rating. The End Read less

Luxury at its finest, but they need a more welcome friendly staff. Love the pool and view. Still waiting for the park they promised the people of Beverly Hills. 4 stars, but not 5. George Vreeland Hill

After a very nice experience in the Waldorf last year , we decided to come back . We had booked a Deluxe Corner suite with Amex "Fine hotels and resorts" which includes early check -in , upgrade upon availability and breakfast. First we were given a room one category below what we paid for , although they should upgrade us, they did not even tell us that we were downgraded . Since we were here previously , we knew that this was not the room we wanted . Did they think we would not know? When we complained the front desk told us our room was not ready . We made our reservation 1 week in advance , so how could our room not be ready in time? This is now the second time , we had problems at the Waldorf when booking through Amex Platinum/ Centurion program . At a hotel priced like the Waldorf , I find it incredible that customers get a lower category of room than they pay for . Nice try ! Read less

We went to Waldorf Astoria for brunch. Everything was fine up until 3:30-4:00 pm. Vanessa came to our table and said “Sorry but this table has a reservation so we hope you enjoyed your stay”. We had just ordered another round of drinks so we weren’t sure if she was kicking us out before our drinks came to the table or after. Then David comes over. He was really polite and respectful advising us that the table was reserved and he offered to seat us at a different table. We followed David to the next table. The busboy places the mats on the table and gives us silverware. Two minutes later, the busboy comes back to the table to collect our silverware. I explain to him that we’re ordering food and that we would need the silverware. He looks at and points to Vanessa saying she told him to take our silverware and place mats. I’m trying to reason with the busboy explaining that we’re ordering food. He ignores my request and takes our place mats and silverware. Finally, Vanessa walks by and I ask her if we could get more silverware. She said no. I asked her why and she said we weren’t allowed to eat, only drink. She explained that we were moved to the new table to finish our drinks but we couldn’t order more food. I was so confused and embarrassed. It was bad enough that we were moved from one table to another, but to add insult to injury, we’re told we can’t order more food and were pretty much kicked out. Had I known the afternoon would play out like it did, I would’ve done business at another restaurant who values their clients and patrons. For an establishment who prides themselves as being luxurious, it’s a shame that you have workers who act the exact opposite and treat their customers like they aren’t the reason for you being able to operate. Customer service training should be revisited in the restaurant section of Waldorf because it’s a pity to spend money at a place where you don’t feel valued as a customer. Vanessa is the epitome of rude and classless. I would never visit again or recommend Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills to anyone. The only reason why I gave one star is because zero stars or a moon wasn’t an option. Pun intended. Read less

The Waldorf Astoria is certainly a cut above the rest when it comes to luxury accommodations. I would say that the hotel is among the top five hotels I have ever stayed at, and deserves accolades and commendation for being an exceptional hotel. From the moment you enter the property, you are treated as a special guest. Doors held open, referred to by name, attentive to every detail... they check all the boxes. The room was exceptionally appointed with a comfortable bed, oversized bathroom, nice touches and flourishes around the room by way of decor, amenities and on and on. They even included mini cupcakes. Yum. Ok view from my fourth floor balcony. My only complaint is due to a lack of upgrade as a Diamond member. Yes... It’s a “first world issue”, but I would have liked to see it. I would return. Maybe an upgrade next time. Read less
