Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel

Living the high life in more ways than one, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is every bit the VIP pad – especially when you’re up on the exclusive rooftop pool deck, soaking in the 360 degree views as you slink from your private cabana into the glimmering pool for a dip. With its balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, your guestroom delivers its own jaw-dropping views of the Boulevard, hills, or LA skyline. And the views inside are just as dazzling, whether you’re eying up the sparkling cocktails at its French-inspired Lobby Lounge; the glamour of La Prairie Spa; the fine dining masterpieces of its French-American restaurant (under the helm of celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten); or the beautiful coastal Californian interiors by creative genius Pierre-Yves Rochon – who’s used muted greens and golds and delicate woods and whites to create an art deco garden vibe.

Nice location and beautiful facility. You could not be closer to the core of Beverly Hills, which is what we wanted. This hotel is very nice and guests pay for quality. The use of the hotel car is very convenient. Enjoy!

Everyone is always smiling and attentive to your needs! During this trip I was in need of a wheelchair and of course they were able to provide without a hitch. Ordering room service, valet and or any other matter was a simple tablet or phone call away. I had all my meals at the hotel and not once did they fail to deliver 10 star service. Food was hot, beverages cold and delivery prompt. What else can you ask for. Bravo to the whole staff for going above and beyond for making my stay wonderful!!! I’ll be back soon!! Read less

The Waldorf could not have been more beautiful and the staff could not have been more professional and responsive. Situated at the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica, it is in the heart of BH. A DO NOT MISS hotel experience.

I stayed for three nights with my mother in a 5th floor room. Street noise at night was a real problem. If you stay here try to arrange as high a floor as possible! The hotel is "wedged" shaped between Wilshire and Santa Monica, so there isn't a noisy street side and a quiet back side. Pretty much all the rooms face a street. At night there were sirens, loud mufflers, street racing/high speed etc... The room itself was beautiful, why the hotel designer/owners spent so much money on decorating and furnishing a room and very little on sound proofing is a mystery. For comparison, during this trip we also stayed one night at the Hilton LAX and the noise from the airplanes taking off was far less intrusive! The room has a fancy iPad setup you can use to control lights and drapes. However, the hotel information on the iPad regarding dining options and the fitness room access was wrong/out of date. Again, why equip a room with a fancy iPad but not spend a little effort to update the info? I also recommend following up if you have any questions/requests before arriving. I had asked for the alcohol to be removed from the minibar (conservative mother) through their website and through email. I never heard back and sure enough upon arrival the mini-fridge was full. To her credit, Lauren - lead at the front desk, seemed genuinely sorry and immediately took steps to fix the oversight. The front desk staff in general were very polite and service oriented. Keep in mind, this is NOT a hotel for tourist! The concierge had little knowledge about the hop-on hop-off tourist bus or its TWO stops right near the hotel. The concierge desk at the next door Beverly Hilton was much more helpful and didn't mind answering questions despite the fact I wasn't staying there. The roof top deck/pool/bar area are beautiful and offer wonderful views. My mother especially appreciated the flowers/landscaping on the roof top. Overall it is an impressive hotel. Do not just use it for sleeping at night while leaving during the day, but STAY at the hotel and enjoy it and the roof top, pool, fitness center, etc.... Read less
