ANdAZ West Hollywood

West Hollywood, Los Angeles

The hotel

As sleek and understated as it appears from its spot on LA’s legendary Sunset Boulevard, the Andaz West Hollywood is actually a prime slab of Rock ‘n’ Roll history that dates back to 1963. Over the years the likes of The Who’s Keith Moon and The Stones’ Keith Richards have sent TVs flying off the (now enclosed) balconies, while Led Zep drummer John Bonham reportedly rode a motorbike up and down the corridors. Thoroughly renovated for the 21st century the Andaz relishes its history, but these days the musical motifs complement the minimally chic décor in boutique-style rooms rather than run rampant. Indeed, there’s a friendly, unpretentious welcome here that extends from the hotel’s enticing eateries to its breathtaking rooftop pool (where, incidentally, Spinal Tap’s end of tour party was filmed). Rock. And. Roll.

Came here for a business trip. Location is fantastic but that's about it. The room was clean, noise level was okay (but then again I was only here from (Mon-Thurs). The staff was polite but rather cold. They were helpful if you asked them something, but as a whole I wouldn't say that the staff was welcoming or warm. They were just kind of there doing their jobs. Catering was a bit disappointing and slow, they didn't check up as regularly as they should as its a large account (ex. they didn't refill coffee and water stations regularly). I wouldn't openly suggest this hotel but if it is reasonable (price wise) for your trip, the location is great. Read less

Wynchel Yu again out did him self. He made our stay amazing. He values guest. He makes you feel like no need is impossible. His outstanding ability to work with people goes unknown because he has his hands in everything. I watch him handle customers situation, carry luggage, break down the amenity areas and still have time to speak to guest in passing with a smile. No matter how busy he my seem he never makes you feel unimportant. He gets 5 huge stars from me. His future has to be bright with Hyatt because his work ethic is amazing. I want to come back because of his genuine spirit of customers first. Others that stood out were Alfred in the restaurant, Emily Armstrong, and Nilaja Cash. Read less

Beware of hidden fees and parking cost! Charged my credit card an additional $47.00 on top of the $23.10 destination fee. Charges ran to my card without my knowledge and not disclosed on any paperwork or expedia site when booking the reservation

Amazing service and stay! Jeff the manager I spoke to took care of my situation and helped ensure our stay and time here was perfect. We are from out of town and appreciated the entire staff and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in west Hollywood!
