When I asked her why she didn't text me that the room was ready, she did not respond. After being in the room. For a few hours, I finally got a text that my room was ready. She also neglected to tell me that housekeeping would only service my room once. They finally serviced it on day 3. I received a text saying there would be a reception between 8-9 Friday morning. We went down at 8:30. Did not see anyone in the lobby. We were really looking for just coffee at the reception. Instead, we had to purchase coffee at Starbucks near the lobby. When I text and asked about the reception, Blain replied that people were there serving coffee and snacks. After going back and forth about where it was, Blain said "actually, it was just coffee." My response was "if you were wrong about the snacks, maybe you are wrong about someone being down there hosting the event. If we were not able to locate the event, maybe you should have signage about the event so others will be able to find it easily." The next day, I needed to ship out a few items. I asked the front desk for a box from their warehouse and box tape and a sharpie to borrow. Blain told me that they didn't have any boxes. NOR did they have any tape or a sharpie and that I needed to go to a store to get those items. This goes to show that this particular Hilton is really not interested in assisting customers with simple needs. No matter how small of a need (sharpie). My suggestion is to book the Marriott right across the street. They service their customers a lot better. Very very very poor customer service, Hilton. Read less

My wife's family have been HGV owners for many years and we have visited multiple properties. They are almost always nice, but almost always with annoying glitches. Elara was no different. First the good...It is a beautiful property in a great location....close to the airport and strip and attached to the Miracle Mile Shops/Planet Hollywood. From the higher floors (we were on 23) there are great views of the Sphere (north facing rooms/odd numbers) or the MGM, Luxor, Excalibur, etc (South facing rooms/even numbers). Our 1BR suite was beautiful and spacious. This is a newer property, and it shows. What annoyed us about our stay were the following....the bathroom smelled of sewage, the TV system didn't work for most of our first day and the whirlpool jets didn't work. After complaining to the front desk (where the attendant insisted that the sewage smell was coming from the street outside....not possible), we switched to a different room down the hall. Fortunately, no sewage smell and by then the TV system was working again. Unfortunately the whirlpool wasn't working there either. After a quick visit by maintenance, who pointed out that sometimes the whirlpool sensors get covered with soap and malfunction, we got the jets going again until they stopped working again a bit later. Overall, nice room, property and location. Giving it 3.5 stars for the glitches. Read less

No one mentioned that when we checked in and our friends in the same hotel had their room done everyday. I then requested the room be made up the next day and it’s still didn’t happen. In addition, we were not told ahead of time that the pool was closed for renovations during our stay. Disappointing. Finally, they try to sell you a time share during check in…don’t fall for the “welcome package” Having said that, the location was great, minutes from the strip, and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. The rooms were modern and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Read less
