I had never stayed at the cosmopolitan, but I wanted to try out a new hotel for this trip to Vegas. My sister had a deal in her identity, rewards account and said she would book it. She booked three nights and then realized that her account was still under her maiden name. I told her I couldn’t imagine that would be an issue- people get married every day. She wanted to make sure that we had no issues checking in so she called a few days before our trip. The person in reservations said that the name on the reservation would need to match the name on her drivers license. She said she got married. The person she spoke with said that didn’t matter and the names would have to match. My sister was transferred to guest services. The girl in guest services said it wasn’t their issue and she would have to take it up with identity rewards. She was transferred to them. Identity reward said that they could not do anything over the phone, but somebody in guest services should be able to help. She was transferred back to guest services. The same girl who transferred her to identity rewards, gave her a huge attitude and ended up hanging up on my sister. She called back and spoke with a manager who somehow had no idea who could have hung up on her. I told my sister we would just figure it out when we checked in. Luckily the person who checked us in was very kind and couldn’t believe the runaround we experienced for a seemingly very small issue. we checked into our room which was not at all impressive. The carpets were old and faded, the light fixtures were filled with dust in the shower was lackluster at best. The water was either scalding, hot or freezing cold. The showerhead looks like it hadn’t been to scaled since the cosmopolitan opened. The water pressure was nonexistent. A very bad design of this room is the sliding door that closes the bathroom. When the bathroom door is closed, the closet is open when the closet is closed. The bathroom is open. The problem with this design is if someone is in the bathroom with the door closed and someone else is at the closet when the person in the bathroom opens the door they slam it into the person who is at the closet. The blackout curtains were broken and could not be closed all the way. The thermostat would not work properly. I will say that the bed and the pillow was comfortable, but I would not stay here again. We came to check in at The Cosmo & we were so lucky to have Mayra check us in . She listened to our nightmare story about the other resort & was so empathetic and just really turned our stay in Vegas into a negative into a positive . I have come to realize that The Cosmo is my home away from home & no other resort in Vegas compares to the exemplary customer service & the most clean & luxurious rooms around . We have been trying out other properties on the strip but nowhere compares to The Cosmo . We just always feel special when we come here & everywhere you go even in the restaurants is top tier service & food quality . We will continue to be loyal Cosmopolitans ! Read less

Check-in was kind of ridiculous, to be honest. The line was really long and it took more than an hour to get to a human. There was a long line of impatient guests waiting in the maze the entire time we were there. There's got to be a more efficient way to handle the influx. Our room was great. We had a "fountain view" which has a distant view of the strip. It was big and the bathroom was amazing. We loved the location and the hidden ski lodge the most. There were a lot of restaurants and quick bites but not very many healthy or veg options. There was, however, a great number of lovely cocktails, everywhere, of course. The pool was beautiful and uncrowded. I love that there wasn't a loud blaring DJ involved. This hotel provided the quintessential Vegas experience and more. It's a great place to stay but it's really expensive for what it has. Read less

We checked in for our 35th wedding anniversary. Parking garage packed, but easy access to elevator for check in at lobby. Waited about 15 minutes in line, on the early side around 130pm. Smooth and polite process. We had visited the Cosmopolitan before, but we’ve never stayed here. One of the first things we noticed was the amount of cigarette smoke in the lobby, which we had not noticed on prior visits emanating from the casino area ……We had a king studio terrace room, south strip view. Unfortunately, this room on the 30th floor overlooked the cosmopolitan pool area where the day club was in full force and the windows were rattling. The bass emanating from the speakers made it seem like we were front row at Coachella. A quick Google search told me that it would stop at 5 PM, so we were not too concerned at the time because we were cleaning up to go out for the rest of the evening to celebrate. The room was clean and very nice- quite comfortable. much to our dismay the pool area kicked off a midnight party that shook the foundation of our room with unbelievably loud EDM music until 4 AM. It was quite enough to drive us absolutely insane. Guest services response was to send up earplugs because they refused to change our room assignment. Only after threatening to leave and cause a scene in the lobby where we credited resort fees and give another credits and told that was the only night that we would have to suffer with that because there was not another party until the following week. So, if you are reading this, you have been warned about staying in the Boulevard tower of the cosmopolitan.. …otherwise, staff was friendly. Make sure you have a good plan for breakfast if you stay here because the lines at the breakfast restaurants in this hotel were over an hour long ,stretched down the hallway. Secret Pizza was excellent and wait staff in the Chandelier Bar were super sweet. It’s too bad about the EDM parties at the pool because otherwise this hotel was very nice and we have been looking forward to staying here for a long time but we would 100% never stay here again because of the skull shattering music emanating from that area. We have stayed at the Cosmopolitan several times and always had a wonderful time. We had a one bedroom suite fountain view in the Chelsea Tower and the view was gorgeous. The food at SUPERFRICO is ok and expensive but the service and experience worth it. The Barbershop speakeasy was a blast I would highly recommend. I love having a hair blow out at Dry Bar on the second floor next to the IV Hydration which is another perk! And you can access the cross walk to a cheaper food court if interested. My one and only complaint is the scent they pump through the hotel. Please, please change or eliminate scenting the place entirely. I know this is a thing having a signature smell but this one is so bad I had to wash all my clothes upon return and air out my suitcase and dreaded walking through hotel. Why so strong? We took the walkway to the Bellagio and their scented AC system was light and lovely. We will be back but I hope the powers that be will consider refreshing the signature scent to something more pleasant or nothing at all. Please. Read less
