What a stay! Walking distance to virtually everything we wanted to see. The Met, Central Park, Broadway shows, dining and shopping. Best of all was our room. Our 19th floor corner suite was fabulous. Views of the East River, and downtown were outstanding. Staff and amenities were very decent. Average bathrooms were only a mild issue.

I have stayed at Affinia properties since 1998, first a long term (7 week) stay at Affinia Gardens, later at the Beekman Tower, the Surrey and others that are no longer a part of the group. I have always appreciated the large rooms, the extra offers for long term residency--kitchens, cutlery, etc--and the dedication of long-term staff. I miss the wide range of Affinia options, but applaud their focus on customer service. What I have come to appreciate and admire about the hotels is the people who work for them. The hospitality business at the end of the day is all about people right? Affinia ids able tp deliver excellent, lovely service at an affordable price. WhAT MORE COULD ONE ASK FOR? Read less

My stay at the 50 Affinia was fantastic! The service and hospitality of all the employees was simply terrific, and the location of the hotel was perfect. After trawling through many hotel reviews last year we decided this would be our base. When it finally came round we weren’t disappointed. Lovely tidy and modern rooms, very comfortable beds. Plenty of space, good shower and half decent views (we faced the road outside). Staff were all great, friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately because we were so busy we didn’t really get time to explore the hotel. Upon arrival your asked to pay a facilities fee, ours totalled $240, when I asked about it they said it would be refunded if we didn’t used the facilities. We didn’t and it was refunded. It is in a good location about a 5-10 minute walk to the Rockefeller centre and all the shops. I would recommend this hotel to people. Nice to have stayed. Read less
