We needed a hotel when our apartment lost power. This was a great option. The hotel was comfortable and spacious. Great bed. Great amenities. And next door was a nice restaurant with tasty takeout. The staff was friendly They saved us. And we would definitely recommend it to our visiting friends

My room wasn't clean, to the point that my fiancee purchased Clorox wipe to clean all surfaces. ( at this point my Valentine's day was ruined) Throughout our entire stay, the guests services ran out of water on several occasions; which made us uber eat water to our room. Overall, i was extremely disappointed with my stay. Read less

The first group had 4 in the room, and visitors until 5:30am I was dressed at 4:30 am to tell the staff member on duty about it. He said he would try to change their room the next day Did absolutely NOTHING> This kept on happening. What's worse is the General Manager Joe Rauer also did NOTHING He had given me his card with his cell number. I had complained to him earlier in the week about the noise. After not sleeping the entire night, I I text him to let him know it was happening again. I never heard back from him...and even days later when I saw him in the lobby her never said a word to me. That' unconscienable in my book. The sign of a poorly run place! After all, I'm paying the Hotel to sleep there!!!! I read another review of this place that spoke to the noise factor and how NO ONE did anything. The hotel is situated on 3rd avenue and you can hear all the noise from the street ALL the time. It looks nice, but the flaws are worth noting before you accept a room key. One good spot is the doormen are as good as it gets. Too bad management doesn't follow their lead. Read less

I stayed at the Fifty by Affinia and I was blown away! The room was so clean and homey with a terrace overlooking Third Ave. It is in a great location and the staff is excellent! Ruth, Ryan, and the GM Joe were so accommodating and made me feel at home. It was a real 5-star experience and I will be recommending the Fifty to my network!

Our party of three arrived midafternoon for a 4-night stay on a Thursday. The hotel front doors were accessible with your room key to minimize people entering the building – but they did have the doorman to open the door for you as well. We were greeted by Joe and he checked us in quickly. The check-in setup provided the social distancing required, but still provided the opportunity to connect with staff. We were given a quick rundown of local area points of interest – such as a local supermarket, local Starbucks, etc. Even though we are very familiar with the area, this information was great to have as not everything was open during our stay. They had a UV sanitizer on the table for use – which I thought was a great idea. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a suite on the 18th floor – 1801. Our room faced the back of the building, but we were very happy in this suite. The living room, kitchen and small balcony were all extras that we enjoyed – we loved having the extra TV so we didn’t have to argue about what we were going to watch. Our room was nice and cool which made for excellent sleeping conditions. The room had plenty of closets – two in the bedroom, one in the hallway and one in the living room. Hand sanitizer machines were right by the elevator and we used them every time we got on and off the elevator. The one on the 18th floor smelled very nice. This is our second stay here and we just found out there is an ice machine in the building (4th floor!) and we used it every day! Everyone was so nice and made us feel super comfortable while staying here. Housekeeping service was provided daily which was very nice as some hotels have not been offering it. My daughter did say that Saturday night sounded like there was a party in one of the nearby rooms as she heard the door banging shut all night long. When we passed the room early in the morning, it still sounded like the guests were having tons of fun in there. Read less
