Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco

Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The hotel

Bringing the outside in, this fashionable Fisherman’s Wharf hotel celebrates its neighbourhood in everything from its design to its dining. Every inch of the outside screams ‘wharf warehouse’, with its red-brick walls and arched windows ensuring it fits in with its neighbours – which frame famous attractions like Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square, and The Embarcadero. The inside continues the theme, with exposed brick and industrial accessories, but throws in a chic ‘seaside hotel’ twist with its blue and grey palette oozing seaside serenity (and touches like free WiFi oozing home comforts). Exploring’s easy with the cable car stop moments away, but there’s plenty to return to, with a 24-hour Marketplace, heated outdoor pool and whirlpool, 24-hour fitness room, and dining options that start with breakfasts in The Wardroom and finish with the rustic seaport styling and menu of Brick & Beam.

Far expensive, breakfast is not complimentary, careless staff. If you have stayed in lower categories of the chain (example Hyatt Place which is category 2) you would expect something better for a Hyatt Centric which is category 5... but no. This is a wonderful hotel, great quality you’d expect from a Hyatt, great neighbourhood to walk around exploring, easily accessible to Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. Lovely pool and hot tub, store in lobby for snacks and supplies. They even got me a curling iron! I would stay here again.

Reception staff so friendly and welcoming. Free water daily and I was given free milk for my room which was much appreciated staff could not do enough for me and are the real plus point of this hotel. Good pool with free towels. Breakfast good coffee not great better to use Starbucks coffee near reception. I really enjoyed my stay and would book here again without hesitation. Not a fan of the attached restaurant/bar food terrible and Fri is not good for the price. Plenty of great places to eat and drink in San Francisco so this is not a problem. Read less

Great hotel to stay for the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. Location was convenient to the venue, shopping, food and local attractions. Hotel staff were exceptionally polite, responsive and customer-service oriented.
