Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The hotel

Get the true Fisherman’s Wharf experience at this fashionable hotel. Hyatt Centric's red-brick design fits in well with its surroundings, and its arched windows frame famous attractions like Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square, and The Embarcadero. Step inside and see its exposed brick and industrial accessories, but with a chic ‘seaside hotel’ twist. For a treat, grab your towel and head to the courtyard pool and whirlpool. There is a convenient Safeway just around the corner and an excellent cafe just across the road from the entrance for all your breakfast and lunch needs. The hotel is well kept but starting to show its age. They were just about to start renovating the in room entertainment when my stay finished, so that should be better for future visitors. Pricing is prime area San Francisco, so not cheap but seems on par with the other hotels in the area. Read less

It was raining in the customer service rep offered us two umbrellas to use for the day. If we wanted anything specific to eat they knew exactly where to go. With a great selection of hotels available, we chose to stay at the Hyatt Centric. As first time visitors to San Francisco, the location was perfect for touring. Very central. Become a Hyatt member to have a reduced or free tourist fee.

Shared with three other people, and the room never felt crowded. Nice room, good service, plus they had games on the main floor :) We weren't here for very long so we didn't get to use all the amenities but the experience was fine! The hotel was also in a great location in Fisherman's Wharf.

This is an average modern hotel in a good, quiet location in Fisherman’s wharf. The experience is ruined by a blatant cash-grab of $30 a day “resort fee”, which offers nothing worthwhile. I stayed for business and the resort fee (+tax) is a pain for doing expenses. If they really need an extra $30, just increase the rates!
