Harbor Court Hotel

San Francisco, USA

The hotel

A far cry from its days as an Army-Navy YMCA residence, today Harbor Court is one of the waterfront’s finest boutique hotels. Just steps from the Embarcadero, its Financial District address puts you a stroll from Ferry Building Marketplace, and within easy reach of Union Square, North Beach and A&T Park. Its guest rooms feature luxurious touches, but it’s the bay, bridge and Treasure Island views that set it apart from other hotels. It’s all set for socialising, with hot drinks delivered by bike to the lobby each morning, and wine hours every evening (with beer and soft drinks for those not tempted by the region’s reputation for fine wine). They even throw in free bikes, a sushi and sake stocked Japanese restaurant, and discounts at neighbouring Embarcadero YMCA, with its Olympic size pool and rooftop jogging track.

They gave us a token and placed the luggage in the store room. When we got back in the afternoon, the luggage was gone and they had no clue where it went. The staff was very rude and were unwilling to help us out in any way. They didn't allow us to view the cctv footage. It has been 3 months and we still have not received any refund or the luggage back. They shirked responsibility by saying that the insurance company would get back to us and that hasn't been the case. Everytime we called them up, they used to answer rudely and mention that they would call us and asked us not to call them. I would never recommend anybody to stay in this hotel run by thieves Read less
