Hotel Triton

San Francisco, USA

The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Hotel Triton is one of the trendiest places to stay in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, mixing references to ‘On The Road’ by Jack Kerouac on the wallpaper with art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotel’s you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get back home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown – but, with a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your guest room, unique suites designed by celebrities, in-room spa treatments, and the Social Hour with complimentary wine each evening, we think it’s probably better.

Very comfy bed and good size room, helpful and friendly staff and wonderful location, walking distance to Union Square or short tram/bus ride to Fishermans Wharf, Bay, near Chinatown - many restaurants and bars nearby. You wont be disappointed.

Pros: Beautiful old building. Beautiful lobby. Comfortable bed. Clean linen. Excellent location. Cons: - Tiny room (for a deluxe king). - Even tinier bathroom - Hotel provides complementary tea and coffee between 0630-1100. But some mornings they remove the beverages earlier without warning. I understand this arrangement is convenient for the hotel. But it’s not convenient for guests. - tiny gym in basement - unfortunately for the 1 week I stayed there, the building site next door commenced building activities before 6am each day. But I understand that’s not Hotel Triton’s fault. Read less

On one table is a book with photos from Havana, on another is a book about the cuisine of Italy. We were graciously welcomed and received great customer service throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful - looked exactly like the photos on the website - and very comfortable. The location is perfect, too! Right across the street from Chinatown and a short walk to Union Square. If you don't want to walk, there is a Starbucks, a Lululemon and a Banana Republic right across the street. This hotel is very charming and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. I would definitely stay here again and can't wait for my next visit. Read less

My hubby and I just returned back home after spending the weekend in San Francisco for our nephew's college graduation. We arrived early on our check-in date and as expected, our room was not ready. We were able to leave our bags with the bell hop as we explored the city and was told our room will be ready for us at 3pm. When we returned at 3pm, our room was certainly ready for us and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice and spacious the room was. I booked the room four months prior to our trip and purposely booked the executive suite (with a king size bed) since other reviews and pics showed how small the standard rooms were. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was fairly quiet considering we were in the city. Our two windows provided a lot of natural sunlight in the room and we had a view of the Banana Republic store a block away. The bathroom was nice and spacious, loved the mirror in the bathroom, made for applying my makeup easy to do. The location of the of the hotel was great. There's a Starbucks right across the street at the café next door provides room service. However, the gem of a gelato shop right next door (Amorino) was perfect for our after dinner dessert - my hubby loved their espresso and we made at least four visits during our visit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Britt at the front desk was super nice and personable. When I told her we were in town for our nephew's graduation as we checked in Friday, she asked how it was when we returned back to the hotel on Saturday after the ceremony. I appreciated that she remembered my name and made us feel like we were at a home away from home. The lobby is super gorgeous, there are a lot of pics on this site that are dated since it doesn't look like the lobby as it looks today. We'd definitely stay here again, great location, awesome staff and comfortable room made for a relaxing visit to the city. Oh and the Comcast connection was pretty cool, I connected my Netflix account on the large sized TV in the room since there was nothing good to watch on TV! Read less

The service was good and the room provided everything I needed for a short business visit.
