Hotel Triton

Union Square, San Francisco

The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Triton is one of the trendiest hotels in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, including suites designed by celebrities and art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotels you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown. With a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your room, in-room spa treatments, and a wine social hour each evening, we think it’s probably better.

5+ stars! Absolutely incredible coordination by Candy at Hotel Triton for our first strategic planning offsite in a long time. The team had a very productive meeting, followed by a lovely happy hour. Candy orchestrated everything with the utmost care, personalized attention to detail, and pivoted quickly for last minute requests. They also added a little surprise & delight with a some Halloween themed decor, perfect for this week. The staff and general manager were all so welcoming and helpful. I am sharing this with our larger admin team as well - we'll be back! Read less

The overall Hotel Triton experience was great. The rooms were nice, the service staff were friendly, and the location was excellent. The overall Hotel Triton experience was great. The rooms were nice, the service staff were friendly, and the location was excellent. The frustrating element was the surprise $25 Amenity Fee they spring on you literally as you are checking out for the "free" wifi, coffee/tea, and wine hour which they pitch as complimentary at the start of your stay. Even if you dont partake in those - which we did not - you are still surprised with this random fee at the end of your stay. Left a bad taste and seemed like a late money grab. Disappointed. My friend and I stayed for a few nights and loved the hotel. The lobby and amenities were perfect. Loved the wine nights and how pet friendly this place was. The hotel staff were also super polite and thoughtful, we always felt welcome in the morning when we left and when we returned. Loved Eddy! Will definitely return.

I have to say that I booked it in Hotwire, but It was advertised as a 4 star hotel. Well the location is great, but the room is so tiny, It can not even feel comfortable here as a single person. It is an old building, and I understand that they have to give these miserable rooms like that to someone. But I believe that there are not that many… Read more
I have to say that I booked it in Hotwire, but It was advertised as a 4 star hotel. Well the location is great, but the room is so tiny, It can not even feel comfortable here as a single person. It is an old building, and I understand that they have to give these miserable rooms like that to someone. But I believe that there are not that many tourists here now. They would have a possibility to avoid offering rooms like that. It is really a joke, the room is ridiculously small, no possibility to open a single tiny window, and AC right above my head and very noisy! The water in the sink is almost not existent. Read less
