Hotel Triton

Union Square, San Francisco

The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Triton is one of the trendiest hotels in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, including suites designed by celebrities and art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotels you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown. With a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your room, in-room spa treatments, and a wine social hour each evening, we think it’s probably better.

It is a ravishing hotel full of beautiful art pieces. My only gripe is the front desk staff. Some were cheerful and responsive, but one in particular had an attitude. Any request was received as a bother. Also, just some feedback from a service professional: The check in process and further interactions with the front desk were a bit skewed. The… Read more

Any request was received as a bother. Also, just some feedback from a service professional: The check in process and further interactions with the front desk were a bit skewed. The staff are sitting and the guest is standing. Either have both parties standing or both sitting. However, having one party standing and the other sitting is not the best experience for the guest. I felt like I was approaching my 4th grade teacher's desk. This is exacerbated if a staff member is not particularly pleasant. Read less

We had a comfortable week in this hotel. The room was kept very clean and we valued having a fridge, which meant we could store some food and our own drink. We had a comfortable week in this hotel. The room was kept very clean and we valued having a fridge, which meant we could store some food and our own drink. Free tea and coffee are provided every morning and we helped ourselves to quite a few cups. I was attending a conference at a much more expensive hotel nearby and the Triton is very centrally located so that we could easily walk to Union Square and also the 20 minute walk down to the ferry port and piers. We weren't disturbed by noise at night, but we did have to turn the air con off which was noisy. Read less

My girlfriend and I stayed for a weekend. Terrific location if you want to be near Chinatown or Union Square or for us, the Warfield. Cute furnishings, great price, helpful staff. Nice sized room. Also location next to gelato bar was helpful for dessert!

(especially in a big city like SF) Thank you again... I hope to return soon. Read less
