Hotel Triton

Union Square, San Francisco

The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Triton is one of the trendiest hotels in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, including suites designed by celebrities and art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotels you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown. With a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your room, in-room spa treatments, and a wine social hour each evening, we think it’s probably better.

Really added to our experience. Other staff were very helpful and pleasent as well. - Room: upon arrival we were offered an upgrade to a room with a larger bed but without a street view. The room itself wasn't too big, but we definitely got our money's worth. The room was clean and pleasent with all the regulat amenities. Only bad things I can think of: the corridor needed more light, and the shower had only a built-in showerhead (which was very aesthetic, but not as useful), without the option to adjust its direction. Could have used a hand held showerhead or at least a direction-adjustable showerhead. - Location: right next to chinatown, walking distance to many stores and restaurants. As foreigners we were worried about the distance from the Tenderloin, but the streets were very safe and you really shouldn't be concerned about it. Read less

We had a lovely stay in Triton. The front desk staff member Edric was super helpful and nice, he gave us some really good recommendations for local restaurants. The hotel was very clean. Great location, however the room wasn’t too spacious.

Spot-on restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Don't miss the late afternoon complimentary wine in the lounge! I will certainly return if I'm back in town next year. Read less

I've stayed at Hotel Triton several times the past few years due to frequent business trips to San Francisco. Hands down, the staff is what makes my stay so wonderful. Warren and Belal were the best, but unfortunately, it seems they've left since I visited last summer in 2019. Thankfully, Luis is still at the front desk. He always remembers me by name and knows what amenities I love the most to make my stay comfortable. Brittnee is still there as well and she's as wonderful as always. Several times when I called to request extra water or pillows she would make sure to call me back to let me know when the items were on the way. There's a new staff member named Julian who was also amazing and made sure anything I needed was brought to me promptly as well. I hope to see them again when I return this summer! Read less
