Arrived with my family on the evening flight from the UK on Sat 8 Feb. Room had been booked for me by a colleague in the US, but using my credit card. When we arrived, the duty manager refused to check us in until we had got hold of our colleague who was not answering his phone. The room was booked with my credit card which I had with me, and there was an email from my colleague which explained why he had booked this first night in the US for us. However we were still expected to wait in the lobby until we actually got through to him. I got around the problem by booking two new rooms (my suggestion). The manager did not even come out of his office to speak to us - all very unhelpful. So in sum, hotel was fine. But management very unhelpful and completely lacking common sense. Not a good way to start a trip to California. Read less

I chose this hotel because I always try to book the hotels in the IHG group. We was upgraded to the best suite on the 26th floor spectacular views, massive bedroom with separate lounge kitchen and bathroom. Very clean all round. Beds are as always incredibly comfortable, service very friendly breakfast on ground floor pricy for the standard American buffet, Menu did not mention that you could have continental breakfast for $15.00 full buffet was $21:00 so the $6.00 extra for Eggs bacon sausage. Coffee was good. The waiters only gave us coffee did nothing els all the rest we had to do, so reluctant to give a tip but gave a small $3.00 tip that’s all it’s worth. So the waiters at breakfast need training in customer service by offering a better service, however that said the bell boy was fantastic, took his time to explain all the details and helped us a great deal explaining how we get around walking to the square. The main question is: Would I recommend this hotel, ABSOLUTELY YES, price and value for the rooms very good, breakfast is good but pricy. Read less

I liked everything about the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly from the Housekeepers to the Security Guards. Busy street outside, but totally quiet in the rooms. Comfortable bed and easy room temperature adjustments. Starbucks next door was open early and a plus for me. Not a single thing to complain about. Looking to return soon.

Our family stayed for the weekend. The hotel is very clean. There is a pool on the 6th floor. My kids swam in February. They said the water was warm and had fun. The restaurant offered a buffet style breakfast which my kids also loved. There is a cable car stop close to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Long story short - made reservations on the phone 2 weeks in advanced for adjoining room for a family of 5 and upon arrival, we never received any notes for that request. Long story short - made reservations on the phone 2 weeks in advanced for adjoining room for a family of 5 and upon arrival, we never received any notes for that request. I went haywire on Mr. Sam and then the manger Mr. John. At the end of it, Mr. John said he will make sure we get adjoining rooms for the rest of our day and I was finally content. Hotel was your typical big city hotel, 300 sq ft, clean, and good for sleeping and hanging for the kids. Our family enjoyed our stay, lesson learned, call the hotel after booking to ensure they understand, have the request, and always ask for names when speaking with these agents on the phone, date, and time.
