Hilton San Francisco Union Square

Union Square, San Francisco

The hotel

One of the best addresses in town places this San Francisco hotel firmly on the map. Its Union Square setting means you’ve got the city’s most exclusive boutiques, Westfield’s big-brand shops, sightseeing highlights like cable cars and Moscone Center, and some of California’s swankiest dining, theatre and nightlife venues on your proverbial doorstep. It also grants you exceptional city views. The classically decorated guestrooms may be unfussy, but Hilton San Francisco Union Square’s anything but ‘standard’; its top-drawer location is matched by extras like the casual-meets-gourmet Herb ‘N Kitchen restaurant, and one of the city’s most elusive treats: a hotel pool. High on the 16th floor, the pool’s expanse of sunbathing space gives you ample space for a sightseeing hiatus, before you head off to nearby attractions.

Here we are at our last leg of our tour the Hilton San Francisco as we approach the hotel I think what have I let my self in for the area by the side is rough and I mean rough looking far more than I’ve seen elsewhere but please don’t let the sights put you off as security is perfect , hotel reception is big and busy it’s a conference hotel so just not really for holiday makers . But in defence it’s a city hotel , room standard size clean tidy bathroom shower massive waste of space to be honest sink very thin felt as if your face was up against the mirror. , restaurant lovely staff but something I found with allHilton’s on this tour the choice is limited and boring , went to bar on 46th floor sights of the city fabulous but I hate hotels that have these bars but you can’t get seated you’ve paid top dollar to stay in hotel yet people come in of the street probably buy one drink and take seats from paying guest and at 64 I’m not standing back to lobby bar here we have excellent bar staff Jennifer a absolute diamond but be prepared to sit an not relax inone hell of a noisy lobby. And I mean noisy imagine a American football match and you have this lobby would I stay again most likely no but again it’s a city break and city break hotels is what you get. Me if I had a hotel this size I would have a lounge exclusive to holiday visitors let suits have the lobby and on 46th floor have reserved booking seats for guest Read less

Excellent Hotel- highly recommended. The location is fantastic- right in Union Square. The Hop on Hop Off tour comes right to your door, took a cable car ride to Fisherman’s Wharf. Great shops all in walking distance. Beautiful view of the city from my room.

Really impressed, right from the start: great location; polite, helpful front desk staff, especially 'Lijah'. Bell desk; all really kind, friendly gentlemen, in particular 'Ron McFarland' who went above and beyond to assist us when airline lost luggage. Our cleaning lady was so sweet and professional. Overall, fantastic experience! 🌷🥂🍾🌟😀

Stayed here for a recent conference and loved the beds, location, staff, onsite conveniences but the rooms were extremely dark - poorly lit! I could barely see in there unless I was in the bathroom. However, everything else I loved especially how nice the staff was. I was looking for deodorant one night and the lady in the onsite store was closing said they didn't carry any. She offered to walk me to the nearby Walgreen's since I was traveling alone! So after her long day, she walked me a few blocks to Walgreen's and walked me back before returning to the Walgreen's area to catch the train! How sweet. I wish I'd gotten her name but she was awesome. Read less
