Hotel Fusion

Union Square, San Francisco

The hotel

This boutique-style hotel comes with a unique attraction – a world-famous nightlife venue. Named one of ‘The World’s Hottest Nightclubs’ by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine in its opening year, Infusion Lounge is a high-tech, high-energy venue that promises what it calls a 4D experience: a place to ‘dine, drink, dance, dream’. The club, with its world-class DJs and sleek décor, doubles up as an upscale restaurant, with a sophisticated Asian-inspired menu. While Hotel Fusion’s well-appointed guestrooms feature warm décor, inspired by an East meets West concept, in honour of the city’s multicultural make up and the hotel’s name. And it’s all just seconds from the renowned shopping and dining of Union Square.

Super adorable boutique hotel with an excellent location! Very friendly, and clean! Small rooms but that’s to be expected in this style of hotel. Excellent bar for a cocktail after spending the day at Union Square.

We were in town for 20 hours on Valentine's Day. Fusion is very affordable and centrally located in the heart of the city. The room itself was large, although the bathroom small. And it has amazing black out shades. Short walk to the cable car in the morning. Staff was very friendly. This was the perfect hotel for our quick getaway.

The best things about this hotel are it’s location and price. The rooms are quite small and not the cleanest, and the view from the window is just a wall. However it’s a great spot for getting around, the staff and nice it has a nice gym and offers breakfast, I just felt the bed wasn’t clean as I couldn’t stop itching.

If you want to be in San Francisco and within budget, I’d recommend this hotel. Nice, clean and very convenient. You’re a just two blocks of the Union Square. The rooms are not big but are quite and cozy.

We stayed in Hotel Fusion post Xmas and over the New Year period. We found the staff very friendly and hotel and rooms very clean. The rooms however were fairly small (only room for one locker beside double bed in the standard double room) but this is probably reflected in the cheaper price compared to most hotels in San Fran. Bathroom was fairly big in comparison to the bedroom, recently tiled and refreshed decor and seemed like new carpets were put down in the rooms. Our air conditioning unit worked but we didn't need it on too much. We didn't have a view only looking back into other rooms so blinds had to be kept down. The water pressure in the shower was not great and it took a long period of time for water to reach desired temperature. Also we were located directly across from a housekeeping room which was busy and noisy some evenings. Good location to Powell BART station, Market & Powell cable car and MUNI transport throughout the city. Also very close to Union Square. You are also close to The Tenderloins area which has a large homeless population so very noticeable especially early in mornings and late at night but this is an issue throughout San Fran. There are a number of restaurants and diners in the area and there is a Cheesecake Factory restaurant inside Macy's on Union Square which is worth a try although maybe make a reservation as always very busy. Pros: 1. Cheaper hotel than most in the area 2. Close access to different modes of transport 3. Clean hotel and friendly staff Cons: 1. Small room may- be an issue for some people 2. Water pressure/temperature an issue in shower Tips: 1. Get a clipper card which allows you to travel on all forms of transport, this can be purchased in the BART station or Walgreen's and topped up in either 2. If going on the Powell st and Market cable car outside hotel, do so early as queues get very long during the day Read less
