Hotel Fusion

Union Square, San Francisco

The hotel

This boutique-style hotel comes with a unique attraction – a world-famous nightlife venue. Named one of ‘The World’s Hottest Nightclubs’ by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine in its opening year, Infusion Lounge is a high-tech, high-energy venue that promises what it calls a 4D experience: a place to ‘dine, drink, dance, dream’. The club, with its world-class DJs and sleek décor, doubles up as an upscale restaurant, with a sophisticated Asian-inspired menu. While Hotel Fusion’s well-appointed guestrooms feature warm décor, inspired by an East meets West concept, in honour of the city’s multicultural make up and the hotel’s name. And it’s all just seconds from the renowned shopping and dining of Union Square.

The hotel is situated within a short walking distance from Union Square and the cable car. Personnel is overall very friendly and helpful. Our room was good and clean with good beds/mattresses. Bathroom was also clean and comfortable. The only minus was the view from our room: a blind wall and a small stripe of daylight. But then again…. We only… Read more

There are several restaurants within a short distance of the hotel as well as a big shopping mall. Short and good a hotel I can recommend for a very fair price. Read less

I stayed in this hotel for one night as this was a last minute booking and my original hotel was already fully booked. In the end this last minute decision was a good one. Location wise, you couldn't go wrong since it was just a few steps to Union Square and all the prime shopping area from bargain outlets to branded shops at the fraction of the price of other hotels in the same area. If you are looking for affordable pricing and are fine with the basic amenities then this is a wise choice. Read less

Hotel has a good location and most of the people that work there are friendly and helpful. The building is old and many of the rooms look down into a central "light shaft" with windows looking directly across into the opposite room--ask for an outside facing room (though you'll end up with traffic noise). The windows do not open and the… Read more

The building is old and many of the rooms look down into a central "light shaft" with windows looking directly across into the opposite room--ask for an outside facing room (though you'll end up with traffic noise). The windows do not open and the window-mounted AC smelled of mold and the "Change Filter" warning light was on, so I did not run it and lived with a warm, stuffy room. Furniture is beat up and needs to be replaced. Bed is too soft with linens that are worn out. Hotel has one elevator. No way is this a 3.5 star hotel, 2.5 stars is appropriate and fair. Read less

Pros: Clean room, friendly/helpful staff, really great location, lots of little extra amenities Cons: Bumpy older mattress, lumpy pillows, room's tiny (but cozy) I would suggest you park across the street at the parking garage which is about $39. Hotel parking is $60-65, so you'll save a few bucks. 24hr Walgreens is literally right around the… Read more

Hotel parking is $60-65, so you'll save a few bucks. 24hr Walgreens is literally right around the corner and its actually a two story grocery store! The trolleys are close by as well. As I mentioned earlier this place is in a great location. Bring your own pillow and after walking so much you might not even notice the older mattress 😍 and have fun! I'll be coming back that's for sure! Read less
