The hotel

Enjoy the fresh California cuisine at the lodge’s two restaurants — both with al fresco seating for the warmer days. Choose between the rustic yet stylish Restaurant with its wood-burning oven and open kitchen, or the more casual Tavern with its big screen TVs, signature cocktails and evening music. There's also daily activities, from wildlife talks and kids crafts to beer tasting - and the lodge's nightly tradition of complimentary s'mores by the fire pit.

We stayed in Villa 9 and loved the view from our room. The room was spacious, clean and had a great seating area on the balcony. The pool is nice and refreshing. Even with a lot of kids in the pool, the poop is still pretty spacious. Winnie was wonderful getting us checked in and explaining the property! She was very sweet and kind. Food in the… Read more

Even with a lot of kids in the pool, the poop is still pretty spacious. Winnie was wonderful getting us checked in and explaining the property! She was very sweet and kind. Food in the restaurant was delicious. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The “family hot tub” had so much chlorine in it that it was burning our eyes just sitting in it. The “adult hot tub” was not enforced and kids were in it almost constantly. It was a bit frustrating in the restaurant as we weren’t allowed to substitute things, especially with kids. We had a waitress that was pretty rude about it. Read less

We stayed in a two queen bedroom suite that had a patio that opened next to the pool. This place is really clean and modern and up to date. I was afraid our room would be too small for our family of four but it was really spacious. Also we were barely on our room because there was so much to do on the property. The kids loved the zip line and the big slide. The hot tub were roomy and I never had a problem finding a spot. The pool was also really nice. There were games in the lodge and games on the property! We met nice families by the camp fire while we made s’more as well! The bad: The pool side food was not worth the money at all! It was also expensive. It was $34 for adults and $17 for kids. The bees swarm the area after you eat! The night we ate it was sausage chicken macaroni and cheese and zucchini and squash. The sausage was ok but not great. The macaroni was just terrible!!! It was creamy and lacked favor. It was definitely not how we cook it in the south! The dinner room did was better but it’s hard to get reservations. Spa: It just opened. I wanted to get a massage for my birthday. I went there as soon as I arrived. I could not get an appointment in the days while I was there. So if you plan to use the spa you still need to book it before you arrive. Overall I highly recommend this lodge! Read less

Rush Creek Lodge is the perfect place to wind down after a long day in Yosemite. In fact, I believe it is the closet hotel to Yosemite without being in Yosemite. Every staff member you encounter is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and comfy and all come with beautiful views. There are no shortages of things to do at Rush Creek Lodge. Their giant swimming pool seems to be the focal point of activity. But there are also little hide away quiet places to relax as well. It's perfect for families. The kids can enjoy the game room or playground while the adults can relax in the very large sitting room playing a hotel provide board game or puzzle. There are daily activities so be sure to check the activities board in the lodge in the mornings. Also found in the lodge is their information help desk where they can help you plan your days adventure. They also provide tours in Yosemite as well. My wife and I did a tour. We were taken to parts of Yosemite we have never been to. In the evenings they have campfires with free smores year round. Honestly, between the staff, the relaxation and the things to do, Rush Creek Lodge is my favorite getaway spot. Read less
