Rush Creek Lodge at Yosemite

Yosemite National Park, USA

The hotel

In a hillside woodland setting close to the entrance to Yosemite National Park, Rush Creek Lodge offers warm, friendly service and a wealth of activities. You can hire a bike, enjoy a yoga class, relax by the pool or play a game of bumper pool! Enjoy the fresh California cuisine at the lodge’s two restaurants — both with al fresco seating for the warmer days. Choose between the rustic yet stylish Restaurant with its wood-burning oven and open kitchen, or the more casual Tavern with its big screen TVs, signature cocktails and evening music. There's also daily activities, from wildlife talks and kids crafts to beer tasting - and the lodge's nightly tradition of complimentary s'mores by the fire pit.

My family loved this place! So many activities to do from sunrise to way past sunset. Family favorites- 24 hour heated pool and hot tub, Zip line, bocce, shuffle board, s’mores and the super slide. It’s a bit of a hike to the valley so if you can stay a few days here and a few days in the valley it’s the prefect way to experience Yosemite… Read more

It’s a bit of a hike to the valley so if you can stay a few days here and a few days in the valley it’s the prefect way to experience Yosemite especially with young kids. The rooms are brand new and everything was super clean. Staff was excellent and even called the sister resort to locate an item for us. Go for a balcony room on the second floor with a pool view. My friend and I took our two teenage daughters on a mother/daughter trip to Yosemite. The Rush Creek Lodge, I believe, is the closest lodging outside the park entrance-about a mile. The resort has a modern mountain feel to it. It is clean and landscaped beautifully with water running through the property. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our 2 bedroom villa was comfortable and clean. The resort is quiet at night and we all slept well in the beds. We enjoyed the view from our balcony. There is a plethora of activities available for all ages at this resort. Especially for children. The nightly s’mores hour is very popular and a great way to end the day. We did a “Wonders of Yosemite “ tour through the lodge. It was fantastic! I highly recommend the tour if this is your first time in Yosemite or only have a short amount of time and want to see as much as possible. For review balance; the food in the restaurant wasn’t all that good. The chef adds pepperocinis to many of the menu items and without them the food was bland (and expensive). Also, there was no water pressure in the shower, which I assumed was a circumstance of mountain living. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back! Read less

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and did not have any booking in advance, we reached Rush Creek Lodge and booked the family Villa and it turned out to be an amazing place to stay. The lodge has anything that a family specially kids can look for in a resort. They have all sorts of play activities and game rooms s’more‘s and an endless amount of stuff to do within the resort. Even if you’re not able to go out much there is enough to do in the property itself. We will definitely go back when we get a chance Read less

Rush Creek Lodge is worth every penny. We look forward to our trip every year. Game room for the kids while we enjoy a Manhattan by the fireplace. The room is so charming with the iron fireplace and balcony. True relaxation

As I write this I am currently awake in one of the more uncomfortable beds I can remember being in. As I write this I am currently awake in one of the more uncomfortable beds I can remember being in. We are in a villa which sounded fancy, but as I lay here now 1am, it's feeling less like a villa and more like a cheap apartment. I have heard the upstairs guest walk to the bathroom and pee in the the toilet 3 times followed by the flush, earlier they were playing their Alexa music and talking as if in our room. I would recommend not being on the lower floor.... its very noisy. But back to this bed.... it is really bad, like from a motel. The sheets aren't cotton, they are like a thin scratchy paper material. Each movement made sounds like you are sleeping under a tarp. We are scheduled to stay another night but I already told the wife we gotta leave tomorrow. For how much money we paid the quality and comfort just aren't there. Was really looking forward to this stay so this is unfortunate. Read less
