Booked through Resort for a day while on a Celebrity cruise. Second visit. Wonderful buffet style lunch, drinks very good, 4 each included. Massages are very nice. Love the inclusive price for cruisers. Would love regular mini buses rather than vans for transportation,

I am giving them a one star which I believe is too many. Absolutely no customer service. We had a reservation with them for one night in March, we were on a horse back riding tour where my son was thrown off a horse and we were taken to a emergency care clinic and then spent the day at St. Judd's hospital. They did x-rays of my 7 year olds skull but couldn't do a MRI as St. Lucia doesn't have a MRI and a CT is not good to do on the brain of a child. We were sent home to Canada so we could get the proper care he needed due to his head injury. I called the hospital the day after the incident as I was dealing with hospitals and insurance companies to get us home the day of the incident but we were within the 24hrs of cancellation. I explained the situation and I was told if I sent them the documents from the hospital they would reimburse me for our hotel stay. I sent them the documents that day. A few days later they told me that they would not reimburse but they could issue a credit for when we return. I explained that we had left the island and had no idea if or when we would ever return to St. Lucia. They then told me I need a medical certificate to get my refund. I believe that after providing multiple documents as they asked and always getting a response days later that I need to provide a new document we will never receive the refund. I understand we were 23hrs away from check in however given the circumstance and that I could provide proof of the situation they would be willing to help. Still haven't seen a credit which is no good as I will never return to St. Lucia or a refund, I am taking it as a loss. Read less

Went to St Lucia for Jazz, initially I had booked into another "all-Inclusive" hotel what a nightmare I wasn't even there for 24 hours. So glad that there was a room left at Bay Gardens a massive difference on where I had initially booked the room was nicely decorated and spacious. My only mistake was not booking the all inclusive deal, I booked on a room only basis. Breakfast was a buffet with a huge choice it was fantastic and filling, dinner you had a choice of 3 restaurants the food was nice. The staff are very polite and helpful and you are steps away from Reduit beach the bar is open from 11am with wonderful cocktails and their are daily morning and evening activities. I loved it so much i bought a timeshare so i can always go back to my favorite spot. Read less

First off arrival was met with friendly smiles of the front room staff , who wasted no time in thoroughly explaining what we were in for at the venue . The activities offered at the venue for both kids and adults were well orchestrated , not to mention fun. The food was excellent and bountiful and the staff waitress after the first day ensured our favourite seats were reserved, special shout out to Calise ( hope i spelt her name correctly) for always going tht extra mile to ensure my family was always comfortable during dining .. bay gardens i owe u guys nothing , thank you for making this family vacation as relaxing and comfortable as it was Read less

The Good - The staff is great. Our housekeeper Nicky was wonderful. After a few days eating at the restaurant, the hostess remembered where we like to sit, and Harmony is the best waitress. Grounds are well maintained and the units clean. This is a resort that has a lot of potential, but is not being kept up. The Bad - The food is just ok. The wait time for drinks and food is ridiculous. I know it's island time, but...... The beach chairs and umbrellas have seen better days, and while the beach is lovely, the water park tends to bring a lot of foot traffic going by and the cruise ships drop off loads of passengers to the left of the property. I think the hardest part was that you are in the middle of nowhere! There is no shopping unless you head about 1.5 hrs south. All the activities are south. Mud baths, Chocolate tours, waterfalls, Pitons etc. Again 1.5 - 2 hr car ride, yes seriously. There are a few tours by catamaran, but it does make it an all day event. The airport is as south as you can get, sooooo yes, to get here by car it's 1.5 to 2 hrs. depending on the time of day. We took the ferry that's offered online (they do an amazing job) both there and back and while its lovely and has beautiful views, again its 2-2.5 hrs The Ugly - Our second unit was missing the door lock, had a broken dresser, broken towel rack and kitchen supplies were pathetic. This unit also had black mold in the ceiling of the bathroom. After maintenance came in and poked a big hole in the ceiling (crap everywhere), they ended up moving us back to the unit we were in for our first week (had to pack up again!). Good thing we moved though, because the next morning all the water in our building cut off ( I was in the shower of course). It was a burst pipe where we had been in the other unit!! Lasted most of the day. By the way, no compensation was offered for any of the inconveniences. Beds are very very hard. The all inclusive option is a HUGE waste of money. They own a few other resorts where you can eat, food is no better, hotter, no view and you have to take the shuttle van. Don't forget to time your meal just right, cuz the van only comes by every hour, so it you miss it, you're stuck there for another hour. You have to keep asking for all benefits with the all inclusive. Like the restaurant vouchers for other restaurants. We went to Jacques. It was the highlight of our week where food is concerned. Thankfully we could go twice! Last, we overheard a few conversations of staff. So sad. Some are getting paid around $5.50 EC an hour ($2 US). The owners should be ashamed of themselves!! How are these lovely people suppose to support a family and not live in poverty! With all the money that we spent, I would have rather gone to Hawaii, it would have been less money. We would never return here. We've travel quite a bit for years, I'd say this was the worst vacation we've ever had. Read less
