Where is it

In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

80 Beach and Overwater villas. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, iPod docking station, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities and daily refreshed mini-bar. Beach Villas have an open-air bathroom and private furnished patio with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Deluxe All-Inclusive includes: breakfast (at Aqua), lunch (at Aqua and Beach Club Grill), and dinner (at Aqua, Beach Club Grill, Carnivorous, Mediterraneo and La Asiatique). Selected premium branded drinks, including spirits, international beers, international wines, cocktails and signature drinks, plus soft drinks including in-house mineral water. 

Beach Villas with Pool have a front-row access to Faaruhushi’s white-sand beach, and a private covered patio with lounge furniture, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a patio over the sea plus a private infinity pool with direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ideal for families the Family Beach Villa with Pool have a separate twin bedroom, as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Superior Water Villas with Pool are located at the end of jetty, and have a private infinity pool, patio over the sea, lounge area, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

This hotel is amazing. Very calm. The staff is really kind and helpful. Everything what you want you can have. Our villa host Kunal was the best. Nothing was problem. He is one of the best villa host who we have ever had. We would like to come back.

From the moment we arrived at Male airport to the time we checked back in to fly home we were scooped up and taken care of the the Emerald Faarufushi team. We stayed for 12 days in a beach villa with private pool. Fabulous accommodation. The all inclusive package is extensive and apart from a spa treatment or two we really didn’t spend another penny other than tipping. The staff throughout the resort at every level were exceptional and all seemed really happy in their work. However, there are a few people who stood out for us that deserve a little mention. From the top, resort manager Patrick takes the time to walk the resort and speaks to guests every day and ensure you’re stay is going well, Rao another general manager was a pleasure to talk to and again made the time to touch base to see if all was well. The executive chef is a modest, warm and very talented man who makes the meanest gnocchi, you must try Italian night in the buffet. On that note the buffet restaurant is fantastic and we even cancelled other restaurants bookings some evenings to go there instead. Fernando, another of the chefs, who went above and beyond making us curries two days running because we had missed the curry evening. A really nice touch. They were phenomenal! In the bars you have a great bunch but most notably there is Ronak who does everything with a huge smile and a bounce of energy. Some very entertaining cocktail displays and even had our drinks ready before we arrived in the bar as he’d seen us walking toward the bar. In the Eclipse bar Vishal, a polite, professional little ray of sunshine. I wanted to take him home! And finally the loveliest lady who looked after us for many of our meals, Priyanka, whose smile lit up our day and our conversations always left us uplifted. A very hardworking, ambitious young lady who is an absolute credit to the resort. Very impressively remembering our friends who were returning guests and their previous preferences, quite a skill!
