When I arrived the room floor was dirty with human hair on the floor. They try to sell guests travel club package. It is actually timeshare remodelled. If you enjoy your sanity stay far from this. They try to entice you into signing up. People it is not what it says on the tin….be careful! I would not return to this hotel as there are far better hotels in Jamaica where you do not get hassled to sign up to any travel club. Read less

I will begin by saying, we live in NYC and when we vacation, our priorities are luxury and quiet…and good food. We are constantly inundated with people at home, so we like to truly GET AWAY when we vacation. We chose GP because friends were going and we wanted to surprise them for their birthday. We usually stay at smaller, more costly resorts, so I was nervous because GP was SO affordable. That said… This resort was MUCH more than we expected! The grounds are beautiful and tended to regularly. Most of the employees were very kind and helpful. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The only thing that left us wanting more was the food, but we still found things to eat and our favorite restaurant was El Dorado. We also loved Miss Lou’s coffee. I knew we would upgrade to the Premium Experience ($100 p/d) when we arrived because for us, we don’t wake up early enough to lay towels on chairs in the morning. We wanted peace of mind that there would always be a quiet area near the pool for chairs and beds. We LOVED that. We also took advantage of the floating breakfast/hydrotherapy session which was delish and so special for us on our last full day. We rented a beach cabana for my friends birthday and it was fabulous. It included an igloo of champagne, red stripes, sodas and water, butler service for the day, and fresh fruit plate. They even decorated it with balloons. We loved that it was steps from the Jerk Hut (mmmm) and right on the water. The caveat is that it’s not secluded or peaceful when activities with music and talking are happening on the loud speakers—wasn’t too bad though! 10/10 would do again. We saw the Jamaican dance night, danced at the white party on the beach, and saw the circus night. All were fun and entertaining! (As someone in show business, I might recommend a different MC for the Jamaican dance night/white party. The dancers seemed miserable at times and he talked over the music at the party WAY too much). My suggestions for the resort: -Treat the pipes near blue lagoon with something that gets rid of the terrible smell on the grounds nearby. -Invest in a pastry chef. Almost all the desserts had strange consistencies and weren’t sweet. -Cut back on the constant spa upselling at pool and beach. I feel guilty saying no constantly. Thank you Grand Palladium for a wonderful first time to Jamaica! I will definitely be recommending! Read less

The room was clean and had no issues. The ocean front room view (villa 14 3rd floor) was spectacularly Beautiful. The beach was clean and the water clear. Most importantly, the kids club is phenomenal. We’ve tried other kids clubs but none are like this one and is the primary reason we return year after year. The ladies at the kids club are warm, welcoming and enthusiastic. We’ve been here when our daughter was 3 years old, 4 years old and now 5 years old (this trip) and every year it gets better. If you’re considering the resort with kids, book it. You won’t regret it. But you likely will find yourself returning year after year. Read less
