Every meal we had was delicious. We were there celebrating my birthday and they really made my day feel special with getting the whole bar to celebrate and making a special cake at dinner. The staff were very friendly, fun, and always looking to help. There isn't much entertainment in the evening, so if that is your thing, this may not be the resort for you. We were looking for a nice place to relax and a break from reality, and this resort did it all. Read less

Rob Barrett, owner of Elite Island Resorts, and his amazing wife, have created the most amazing five-star all-inclusive resort in the world. My wife Hillary and I just spent the last 12 days at Hammock Cove Antigua to honeymoon and we were really reluctant to leave our beautiful villa. We had villa #41 which is positioned on the ocean front overlooking the famed Devil’s Bridge National Park. Everything about the villa was meticulously thought of from the floorplan and the Pottery Barn styled décor. It’s not every day you can wake up in a comfortable king size bed and look out over your splash pool to view the ocean waves. While we were there, a tropical storm passed through providing us a spectacular view of the power of nature with high winds and big crashing waves. Each villa is equipment with the Ambassador phone (my personal favorite), so you can call for room service at all hours of the day (thanks Sheldon, Daryl, and Mark). Our flights from Seattle to Miami and Miami to Antigua were long, but certainly worth it. Hammock Cove Antigua is 10 out of 10 and I or my wife have nothing negative to say about it. In fact, I’d love to live there on the property in villa #41 if Rob would let us. We felt right at home by the staff and the owner who we had conversations with on several occasions, a unique experience in of itself based on his incredible portfolio of owning/operating luxury resorts throughout the Caribbean. The layout of Hammock Cove Antigua was very easy to navigate (even after several pina coladas), has several bar and dining options (Nobody Knows (bar) for amazing rum drinks from David, Irina’s (bistro/bar) for a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus a bar in a casual setting overlooking the cove (shoutout to Lorenzo, one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and has a heart of gold), the Lighthouse (fine dining) for exquisite meals from Chef Marco and Chef Chris with Troy, Collette, Feb, Darrin, Kevin, Casildo, etc. serving up incredible meals, the Lighthouse Bar with Joel and Andre whipping up cocktails and shots that go down all too smooth, the Chairman’s Lounge (game room) to have drinks, food, and play games, and the beach/pool bar that also serves lunch right to your lounge chair from the incredible staff Julio, Hudson, Devney, etc. The beach has Hobie cat’s, SUP boards, standup pedalboards kayaks, snorkeling that you can take out at your leisure with life vests provided. I highly recommend laying in the water hammocks to soak up some relaxation surrounded by some amazing fellow resort goers. Last but certainly not least, the luxury spa is a must when visiting Hammock Cove Antigua. Elizabeth, Marilyn, and Eyian are incredible at what they do. My wife and I had a couple’s massage one day, then returned another day for body wraps/rubs, and pedicure (me) and manicure (my wife). The treatment rooms are amazing and first class. There’s a sauna, hot tub, and outdoor pool all located at the spa. While there, visit the boutique to bring back some souvenirs such as a Hammock Cove Antigua Christmas ornament or magnet, prints from local artist Gilly Gobinet, and apparel with the embroidered Hammock Cover Antigua logo. In summary, Hammock Cove Antigua is 10 out of 10 with several !!! Go and relax like you’ve never relaxed before!!! Read less

Make sure to check out the rum bar where David will make you some delicious rum cocktails, Do some water sports with Julio, visit the Lighthouse for some great drinks and better conversation with Joel and enjoy breakfast at Irenas with Lorenzo! We’ve stayed with Elite Island Resorts a couple other times before and have always had wonderful experiences but this was by far the most luxurious! Having your own pool, minibar, and ambassador phone made the experience amazing. The staff did a wonderful job making you feel safe with COVID precautions. All staff members wore masks at all times. Additionally, guests were required to get a negative COVID test before arriving on the island. Read less

This was the first all-inclusive resort that my husband and I have ever been to. We are cruise people! However, with cruising out for obvious reasons, we decided to take a chance on this newly opened resort. Hammock Cove set the bar really high! Here are some highlights of our stay broken up into sections: Arrival: Upon arrival, our bags were taken away and disinfected while we were taken to one of the restaurants for a wonderful lunch and welcome drink. Food was delicious and a good start to the vacation. When we were done, one of our Ambassadors took us to our Villa where our luggage was waiting. Villa: This is when I knew all the reviews about the resort staff going above and beyond were true. We booked a waterfront villa and our first villa was not to my liking. It had a view that I specifically asked not to have when we booked. I called the Ambassador with the cellphone that they provide (nice touch!) and expressed my concerns. Sheldon (amazing by the way) said he would talk to Rosie (?) and to give him some time. I thought for sure we would have to spend the night at the very least. Less than 20 minutes later he called back and said he had another room we could view. The second room was perfect and exactly where I wanted to be. It was beautiful and exactly as pictured on their website. The bathroom shower alone was massive, not to mention how big and bright the rest of the room was. It had everything you would need for your stay...shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, slippers, iron and ironing board, and ample hangers. Our private veranda was beautiful and the plunge pool was amazing! We enjoyed relaxing in our pool with a cool drink each afternoon. Food: The food was so good. Every meal was cooked to perfection and delicious. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Irina's and dinner at the Lighthouse. If I'm being honest, we would have enjoyed a better variety at dinner. The menu was very limited and from day to day the taste of the food didn't change at the Lighthouse. Again, cooked well, but definitely needed more variety. I believe due to Covid, the menu was limited, or at least I hope that was the case. Beach/Pool: The beach was small but very nicely decorated with enough loungers and umbrellas for everyone. The water was beautiful, clean, and crystal clear. On a couple of days you could see fish near the shallow ends! There was a great beach bar and a good selection of water toys for all to enjoy. I loved the round floats that were in the water. I spent hours out there just floating around. My husband enjoyed these stand up paddle boards that looked like ellipticals. I can't wait to try them when we return. The resort has a three tiered pool that is truly beautiful and fun to float around in and watch people on the beach. I can't stress enough how clean everything was. The public bathrooms on the beach and near the pool were always clean and well maintained. Staff: The staff went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful and relaxing. No exaggeration, they will do whatever they can to make your stay special. For instance, my husband asked if there was going to be more local food on the menu. Taj, the restaurant manager (so awesome!) said let me talk to chef. Twice she arranged a special lunch for us, consisting of curry goat and rice one day and a lobster with a local twist that was to die for! Marvin made sure our mini bar was stocked with all of our favorite beverages and ice. He will be your best friend during your stay! LOL Lorenzo made the most amazing drinks for us, going above and beyond to fill your order. On one occasion he could not find an ingredient for my apple martini. He literally made the drink with fresh apples! On our last night we decided to eat dinner at Irina's for a more relaxed vibe. Thanks to Taj we fell in love with Suzy Pepper Sauce. Lorenzo asked when we were leaving. When we said tomorrow morning, he said give me a minute...10 minutes later he comes with a bottle of Suzy's in a paper bag. He contacted a friend who brought it over! REALLY!! That's service!! The pastry chef in the Lighthouse was amazing. I asked one night why there was no cake on the menu. Darin our waiter (excellent job as well) told the chef. The next day he put a cake on the menu even though he wasn't planing to. It was a delicious dark and white chocolate cake! He even boxed some up for us to take back to our villa. Julio on the beach made sure we always had drinks in our hands. He also helped us with the paddle boats. He was literally everywhere! I can't forget Gabriel who made our cappuccinos in the morning and my old fashion rum punch in the afternoons! I know I'm forgetting some people (sorry!), so I will say a big thank you to everyone who made our stay special! You guys make the resort! Excursions: We purposely chose not to do any excursions, trying to limit the amount of people we came into close contact with. However, they looked really fun and I definitely plan to do some on our return. The people who came off the Calypso Cat looked like they had a great time! ;) The excursions were all priced well. Prices were comparable to other independent booking sites. So to sum up this long review and to echo the words of a previous reviewer, if you are thinking about booking this resort, just do it!! It is truly an amazing place! Read less
