False Advertising: We booked the Ocean View room and paid extra because we wanted to see the Ocean. When we arrived to the room and opened the sliding door to check out the view…there was No Ocean view- whatsoever. I had to lean over the balcony railing and look left to see any sort of ocean view. Even then I wouldn’t call it an ocean view, more like a sliver of a view. I went to the lobby to talk to the lady about it and she said, “Yeah it’s a partial view, that’s how corporate labels our Ocean View Rooms.” I couldn’t believe my ears. I showed her my reservation and it didn’t say “Partial View of the Ocean.” I would have no problem if it had been labeled “partial ocean view” but I didn’t pay extra for an Ocean View to stare at buildings in front, to the left and right of the balcony. The hostess said for $35 she could “upgrade me” to an ocean view room, and then went to the back room for what seemed like forever. She came back and said they could upgrade me for $50. I was shocked. I already paid for the ocean view room and now they want me to pay More for an actual Ocean View. When we checked out the guy said that he was made aware of my “issue” and that the employee from last night was “talked to.” Nothing was offered to accommodate my reservation. I am very disappointed in the customer service offered by this hotel. Read less

Matt at the front desk was terrific. Helpful friendly very accommodating (something as taking the time to get milk from the kitchen it sounds)simple but it took a bit of time outside his regular duties. He also took the initiative to ask if housekeeping made our room. They had not when we returned to our room it was done I rate him 5. +

Magical. It is the best experience I have had. Will never forget this place. Coming back, yearly, with my travel companion. $120 daily food credit(2 rooms) Everything I tried was delicious. Staff were kind. My brother, who is a local,. recommended this place. And he has never stayed here. No regrets. Loved every minute of it.

Really great beach vibe hotel. Caring staff, great extras like happy hour, s’mores kits for the fire pits and vinyl to play in the room. We pre booked breakfast and it was well worth it at the Pacific Hideaway. No complaints at all. Very chill. Would definitely go back.

My family and I had a memorable stay at the Shorebreak, but not for the reasons you might expect. After a long drive, our 2-year-old unfortunately got car sick. Facing the daunting prospect of a 6 hour return journey with a soiled car seat, we reached out to the concierge for assistance. What followed was a stellar display of customer service that truly set Shorebreak apart. From the moment we spoke to Matt, who warmly welcomed us, to the practical assistance offered by Kris, and the extraordinary personal service from Omar, every interaction was awesome. Despite the hotel's policy on not lending cleaning supplies due to liability, the staff were proactive in finding solutions. Omar, particularly, went above and beyond by arranging a personal mobile car cleaning service for us. He managed everything seamlessly, from coordinating the cleaning to handling the laundry for the soiled items, making sure our car was fresh and ready for the journey back. The cleaning service was punctual, arriving at 8:30 AM as promised, with Omar overseeing the entire process. Omar even facilitated a hassle-free payment, ensuring everything was taken care of without any inconvenience to us. Thanks to the Shorebreak team, especially Omar, what could have been a stressful situation turned into a testament to the hotel's exceptional customer service ethos. They didn't just meet our needs; they anticipated them, making our stay unforgettable for all the right reasons. In a world where genuine, thoughtful service is becoming a rarity, Shorebreak shines brightly as an example of hospitality done right. I can't recommend them highly enough! Read less
