The hotel

Enjoy the convenience of a residence with the luxury of hotel service at this all-suite hotel. The Mondrian South Beach is a curved piece of Modernist architecture with an interior designed by controversial Marcel Wanders. The style is definitely post Minimalist with a sophisticated colour palette of gold, black and white; comfort in the sensual sense is given centre stage inside and out. The pool is set amid sun-soaked lounge pillows and landscaped into a labyrinthine trail with lounge areas and secret pathways. The setting is straight out of CSI Miami, with the silhouette of downtown Miami behind the expansive blue waters of Biscayne Bay. And because it faces west it also has the glorious sunsets; best watched with a mojito in hand from the bayside bar or private rooftop bar.

Natalie and George were fantastic. Natalie made my drinks PERFECT. She made me feel right at home. Natalie and George were truly amazing and the best part of my trip! Food 10/10 drinks were absolutely amazing! Grateful for the hospitality here!

I stayed for 2 nights in a queen room on the 14th floor while in town for a business event. The room was spacious, and I could see a sliver of the Atlantic Ocean, which was nice. Other than those too items, the room could use a lot of work. First, there was hair everywhere--on the bed, in the shower, on the couch, on the floor. Overall the room… Read more
I stayed for 2 nights in a queen room on the 14th floor while in town for a business event. The room was spacious, and I could see a sliver of the Atlantic Ocean, which was nice. Other than those too items, the room could use a lot of work. First, there was hair everywhere--on the bed, in the shower, on the couch, on the floor. Overall the room was dirty. The A/C worked well, although other guests informed me that was not the case in all of the rooms. The room (maybe due to it's spaciousness and lack of carpeting) was quite loud and echo-y. Despite that fact, I was able to get decent sleep, because other hotel guests were quiet in the evening. I was thankful for a mid-week stay. I cannot image how loud it could be staying here on a weekend. The room didn't contain a luggage rack or a coffee maker (2 items that should be staples in hotel rooms). Complimentary water bottles also would have been a nice touch, given the heat and humidity in Miami. The setting and the view from the gym and pool are why I am giving this hotel a 3/5 rating. The pool area was very nice with gorgeous views. I was very impressed with the exterior of the hotel. For the price, I'd recommend checking out other properties in South Beach before staying here. Jefferson is the best!! We had such a good experience and have had a lovely time. he put a lot of work into the umbrella and we are drinking sangria and having a blast and it’s a beautiful day and the beach set up is very nice and convenient. Great service!
