Great staff. Hotel is a 'little worn' could do with a lick of paint. The shower 😲😲 OMG it was really hit or miss if A: got any water and B: if you got any hot water. To consider that this hotel is linked to the Royalton chain is a very big disappointment. Having stayed at Royalton St Lucia and having had a magical stay this was a disappointment. No laundry service. The pool bar was way too shallow. The onsite shop had very little stock (they had 1 pack of crisps!). However if you dive, super easy access to 'scuba Steve's' literally a 2 mins walk 👍. If you hate towel droppers then stay away😲 I stayed up having a beer and from 03:00 people were dropping towels on sun beds 😲😲 Food is good but limited. However the lady that does fresh eggs is awesome 😁 There is an option from 'mahias' but you have to order and then wait at least 20mins and that's if it's not busy!! Read less

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Its location is absolutely gorgeous. We have visited several times before, and am absolutely gutted it will be knocked down to make a mega resort. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff here as a whole. They made the trip magical for my kids. When the bartender greeted my 6 year old saying, "good evening Miss [said her name], my I day you are looking exceptionally lovely tonight," it pretty much made the trip for her. The hotel itself was great for families. Our room was… Read more

After reading the reviews on the Mystique we were expecting to walk into Fawlty Towers and were in two minds to cancel and find somewhere else. But no ! As soon as we arrived the checking in at reception was smooth and the reception staff put us at ease (the rum punch helped). When we got to our room {1122} we were horrified to find it wasn't the bomb site that numerous reviews had listed but one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. The room is split into two, living area and bedroom. The beds are very comfortable and the room very clean. The room is cleaned every day with fresh towels and plenty of water for the fridge. The next surprise was the shower. Expecting either no water or scalding hot it turned out to be one of the best showers we have come across. You do have to adjust the settings but you have 3 selections, rainforest, 6 side jets and wand. Definitely would like this at home. Being all inclusive you never have great expectations with the food menu, but it was good enough, and you can always book the other restaurant in the hotel or try one of the other nearby restaurants. The beach is lovely with outstanding views around the bay. Ok you do have to go German and get out early to get a prime beach position but thats not the first holiday we have had to do this. There are beach vendors but a polite "no thank you" and they move on. Overall there are no major issues in staying here and its a shame its being knocked down to build a mega monstrosity which will be out of character for the area. Finally a big thank you to all the staff for making this a really good holiday. Read less

Very little shade, you can purchase an umbrella with lounges from people on the beach if you don’t find one available. Good food, chef was great, chicken, beef, fish, all vegetables. huge room. Service excellent. Drinks good. The ride in the van through the mountains was scenic, but tough if you get car sick. Very up and down, around, switchbacks etc. the driver was great. We elected to take a very scenic helicopter ride back to the airport instead of the van ride. It was amazing! I must say, we have been to several Caribbean islands and the people of st. Lucia are some of the best and friendliest. Even the service at the airport both coming and going was excellent. This hotel is being demolished as well as the one next door. Apparently it is going to be one huge resort. It does need some repairs perhaps it is cheaper to rebuild?? We prefer smaller resorts less busy, I hope all the staff get rehired, they are the best. We had a great time, thank you st. Lucia. Read less
