The staff was amazing and so friendly. The room was beautiful and well maintained. We could even hear the ocean from the lanai. I couldn't have asked for more! Wish we could have stayed longer! We also stayed in Waikiki and it left a lot to be desired compared to the OUTRIGGER Ka'anapali! Highly recommend to anyone! Read less

Such a gorgeous setting, this was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and the views were amazing. It is among many other hotels that you can walk to for lots of dining options. The Maui Brewing Company was the restaurant on site and it has delicious food with beautiful views.

We absolutely loved the place. The staff are (mostly) very friendly and willing to assist. We had to change our hotel due to fire and thought Outrigger would be OK. I am so glad we made the change. This hotel is located near Whalers Village, where we had booked several adventures and dinner reservations. Instead having to drive/park/pay, we walked 5 minutes. Great restaurants/shops nearby. Maui Brewing company(onsite) has some good food too. The bar at night was very fun. Drunks are fun to watch. Bartenders for most of the week were really great. A couple of nights there was one guy in charge and he was not happy. Other than that, absolutely a wonderful place. The little coffee shop onsite is great for breakfast and coffee and provides great friendly service. Our original plan was to visit Maui once, check the box and move on. But after this stay, Maui has replaced Jamaica as our go to location. Whale watching was outstanding and humbling. The time of year made it a little chilly and windy, but still not too bad. The exchange for warmer weather was the chance to see the whales. The big guys delivered and exceeded what I was expecting. Dozens of breeches to be seen. And lots of nearby encounters. The Pineapple tour was very cool as well. The Road to Hana tour was very cool as well. Suggest taking a guided tour otherwise you will miss a lot if driving. Mamas Fish House is cool, pricy but worth it. Mala Ocean Tavern is also very good. Dinner was very good, but brunch was awesome. Overall, one of our best vacations ever. Can't wait to see the area when it is back at 100%. Read less

Very happy with our choice to stay at the outrigger kaanapali for our family holiday. Perfect location, beautiful and quiet grounds, excellent service. Loved the Maui brewing co which was the main restaurant on the property. We saw tons of turtles! Dolphins and whales in the distance. Whenever we walked the boardwalk and saw how busy and loud the other properties were, we were so happy to retreat back to the outrigger. Yes, the other resorts are a bit “ritzier” but if you’re looking for a laidback Hawaiian vibe- the outrigger is for you. The only thing we didn’t love was the price of the continental breakfast. It costed our family of four (kids 5 & 10) about $100 US ($80+tip) It was very tasty though! We would have definitely ate there everyday if it were affordable, but due to the cost only had it day 1. Tip- Safeway is a 4 minute drive- get some muffins and yogurt and save the money for shopping at Whalers! Just a 2 minute walk down the boardway. Read less
