Rosewood at Baha Mar

15th of April - going to Filia restaurant at 20.45. I had no reservation and I would like a table on the patio. I was asked to wait for a minute. I stepped aside, patiently waiting. Meanwhile, o bunch of people were coming, asking for table, all of them were filling the reservation form. Nobody entering the restaurant, even though there were free tables. At 21.00, I went back to the desk, the lady said she forgot about us and she only had places available at 21.30. I completed the reservation form and I was informed that a penalty of 100$ per person will be applied in case of no-show. Nice? Guess what? I was back at 21.26 and asked to wait until my table was ready, at 21.36. Can you guess where was my table, after specificaly asking for a table outside? Yes, it was inside, near another 8 empty tables, probably waiting for....absolutely no one. I don't know if this is the specific policy of the restaurant, but I never felt so disrespected. Nevertheless, considering is a 5* hotel and the services are quite expensive, never experienced such a haotic, unoperative staff and I've been in so many places around the world. Not recomended at all. Making a costumer waiting for hours, meanwhile keeping the restaurant half empty... There are no umbrellas on the beach, and if you ask for one, they tell you it is too windy to keep it open and in place. Well, I have news: you are an island in the Carribean, there are looots of curents and it is always windy. They seem surprised... Cancelled trip to Exuma. Can yoy guess why? Oh, weather conditions. Doubled checked on google weather, and it seemed that nothing was wrong, no rain, no storm, moderate wind. The employees look always tired and lazy, the do not smile and give you unpleasant looks. I have been visiting this property since it has opened. It continues to exceed my expectations in every way. The staff goes out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect. From the time you are greeted upon your arrival until the time you leave you feel like you are at your home away from home. The staff, rooms, amenities, dining, pool area are impeccable. Come here only if you want to be disrespected and made miserable. Property is beautiful but the service is by far the worst we have ever received in our entire life. The staff is incredibly rude and very slow to respond to any requests. We started to hate meal times because it meant we would have to interact with the staff. Service at the pool is abysmal- the staff get angry when you ask for towels or want to order food. Rooms are tiny and just ok cleanliness wise. Not what one would expect for a room at $1000+ a night. We came to the Rosewood because we wanted a balance of luxury and kid friendly. This resort is not luxurious. Stay as far away as possible. We are very upset that we spent our hard earned money on such a horrible experience. Read less

The grounds are beautiful and the Baha Mar water park is great for kids, but I am disappointed. Service is extremely slow. We were told at check in we had connecting rooms - and then we didn’t. We had a room maintenance matter, which took two days to repair despite it requiring 5 minutes when someone finally showed up. Room service came late afternoon. The pool staff work at their pace and repeatedly made mistakes on orders. For this price point - the peers are Four Seasons and St. Regis. Management has some work to do for sure, or they should price the rooms closer to the mainline peers they are closer to. Read less
