We arrived late approx 21:30/21:45. Super cold towel, bags from the transfer unloaded for you, escorted to reception for welcome champagne, we were not allowed to do anything other than relax, literally. Checked in was quick and super informative, Aron was so good! Roger the concierge made sure we had a drink at the bar before doing anything, taken to the room (2423) by golf cart, he was simply outstanding in everything he did for us, bed was turned down, fridge loaded with drinks and a bottle of fizz for our arrival of which Roger went to fetch us a bucket and loads of ice! He explained how everything worked from room service, (which we used and was very tasty and piping hot, available 24hrs a day) to lights, whirlpool bath, to the safe and anything else you could think of. He always said, no matter what you’ll be looked after here, and that we were! Our building personal concierge Esther, what a beautiful human! Her beaming smile every morning, she literally came to find us as we didn’t meet the previous day due to late check in, she took time to get to know us and couldn’t do enough for you so much so searching the pool and beach areas for us the day before check out to ensure we were comfortable and would have everything we needed! Not to mention checking we were comfortable at night, fetching a firmer pillow for my wife and also asking if we required a kettle and English tea for the room, we didn’t but a nice touch. A stunning and tranquil place to holiday, restaurants were fantastic, my particular favourite the Italian, we ate at 3 times, once with another couple from Chicago! Staff made it extra special for their last night with us. My wife’s was the Pan Asian, which was delicious. The food was simply fantastic, from peanuts and pretzels during evening drinks at the lobby bar (a special mention to Jessica for her outstanding service), Co Co Cafe for all coffees, ice cream, milkshakes, cakes, doughnuts, small sandwiches and the best banana split, breakfast buffet with so many options. The only SMALL disappointment for us was the grill during dinner, we opted for the mixed grill for two and unfortunately some of the meat tasted quite like BBQ lighter fluid, which put us off going back but speaking to lots of others throughout our stay, they all spoke extremely highly of the steaks! I do agree with some guests and the odd dress code for men to wear trousers for dining, considering how some women were “dressed” with either very little on or see through clothing! Day 2 out of 11 we discovered if you’re wearing shorts, you could sit outside the restaurants to eat, I didn’t put another pair of trousers/jeans on, which by the way I must stress you were treated no differently if this was your preference. There isn’t a booking/reservation system in place simply first come first serve, there were a couple of occasions of having to wait for a table with one of those buzzers but we weren’t fussed nor did we wait any longer than 30 minutes. The events and entertainment were really good, so much effort and time goes in to put them together and lots of hard working individuals who work throughout the day and night rigging and de-rigging. The entertainment team by the pools and on the beach were great, if you didn’t want to take part they accepted it first time but would still make time to chat and get to know to you! The beach was simply stunning, yes seaweed is an ongoing issue but the way it’s dealt with is fantastic and it’s dealt with all day every day. When you want a swim, you can spot the areas to avoid in the sea, which changes depending on the current/wind direction. Everywhere was immaculate and well looked after, gardens, room, bars, restaurants, even every single toilet facility, all smelt fantastic, tranquil music, were cool to walk into and extremely clean! A special mention to Alfredo, pool side waiter who was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for everything you did for us! For us, absolutely 5 star. The most amazing stay, outstanding customer service and experience right from the get go to leaving!! Read less
