The beach is beautiful and the sea is so clear, I could see the fish without snorkelling. Every morning we had breakfast on the beach front restaurant, which is buffet. The food was lovely. In the afternoon we went to Colin’s bar for snacks. All the staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble. Only one negative thing from me. The pool was too shallow, it had different levels in the pool, I kept scraping my knees swimming up to the pool bar. Not good if you enjoy swimming, but ok if you just like padding in the pool. But the beach was so lovely, we only went to the pool once. Read less

We cannot say enough about Sugar Bay … the food was beyond anything we have experienced at an all inclusive. I’m sorry I can’t remember all the names but thank you to Katerina in housekeeping, Joan and Helen at the bar, Samantha and Nicholai in the restaurant and Janelle at the Concierge, and Rashid who made sure we had an umbrella and fresh towels on the beach. You are all outstanding! We will be back in December! Read less

Only about 2.2 Mb at reception. No toilet facilities around pool and entertainment areas. Ladies toilets at reception area were out of service for the whole of our stay. Reef restaurant repetitive and limited, no children’s section so no plain food, chips etc. Colin’s bar was good as was Sizzle restaurant No problems with sunbeds round the pool, nice and comfortable. Beach sunbeds plenty to go round but very basic. Trees etc very well established so any garden rooms struggle for a view. Garden areas well kept Room nice and clean, comfortable bed and daily cleaning which was well done. Read less

We didn’t try the steak restaurant on site or the Japanese restaurant. Great service all round. Room very clean and cleaned daily. Lovely big bed. Plenty of sun beds on the beach which was much bigger than we expected. Pool was a good size although we didn’t use it as we went on the beach. My only disappointment was that we had a garden room which was in a separate building from the main hotel and we couldn’t see anything from our balcony for the trees. We were hardly in the room anyway so it wasn’t a big issue. You don’t come to Barbados to sit in your room. We were on the 3rd floor and this building has no lift so thank goodness for the porter. We couldn’t have managed our cases up the stairs. It was quiet in this building which we did like as it was away from the main part. Read less

Excellent position, all facilities very close to beach. “Reef” just offshore creating very safe shallow swimming area. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Room very nice, comfortable bed, good bathroom.
