We particularly enjoyed the wonderful cooking, the crisp bed sheets, vibrant botanical garden-like setting of the tree-houses, and incredibly warm and inviting and accommodating staff. A very big thank you and the highest commendations to Patrick, the maitre'd; Tobian and Kadian, the concierges; Nadine, the wedding coordinator; Karen, the onsite photographer; Christopher, the chef; Kemar and Tamar, the security personnel; the lifeguards and the entire waitstaff. I highly recommend it to any young couples looking for a relaxing retreat in a superbly-maintained garden environment with easy access to the beach and very spacious, tastefully decorated interior spaces. Sunset at the Palms is beautifully located resort with bungalows scattered in a lush and tropical location. Jungle vines and fanning palms create a private environment feel. Of course, rum drinks are definitely recommended ( Jamaica Boy and Mellow Yellow). We thank Esroy, Damien, Kerry, Shawn, Almarie, Cornelius, and so many more of the servers for making us so “refreshed”! As far as the food, it was amazing! Breakfast? enjoy the espresso drinks as well as the fruit and BACON! Our stay had multi course dining.Christopher, Neville, Mr. Patrick - you spoiled us so. We are very thankful for others too! The chutneys, fresh veg, spicy chicken, and red snapper was yummy. The show case dinner nights were great- it was so fun seeing what we ate prepared in front of us. Live music nightly The beach was a quick walk across the street and was exclusive to our resort. You could do non motorized activities to be super active without paying an extra dime. Lots more too! we lazed under palapas and soaked in the turquoise water, white sand, and occasional rain shower. The beach had a great bar with food.Did you say drinks again? Furnishings were very Jamaican- dark heavy wood with oversized cushions, intricate wood carvings and wrought iron fixtures. Kadian was our head receptionist and made sure we were well taken care of -thank you and your amazing team! We definitely will be back. Let me just say that this resort surpassed our expectations in terms of service, location, and safety protocol. Read less

Personally, I am not much of a review writer, but my new friend from the Resort, Mr. Patrick, asked me to be sure to leave one and I promised I would... Firstly, as a result of the current situation and borders basically just opening up for tourism again, the place was nearly empty. For some, that may be a deterrent, but for myself, it was a welcomed feeling. Honestly, at times it felt like the entire beach and resort were just for me. Everybody that works for the resort are beyond friendly, they emanate the true essence of Caribbean hospitality. So, although there weren't many other guests, there was always someone nearby with whom to speak, if you wanted to. The premises of resort itself, is exactly as shown in the pictures. The rooms are AMAZING. You are literally sleeping in a gorgeous tree house surrounded by green luscious nature at every corner, from palm trees, to bamboo trees, humming birds, goats that are working as lawnmowers.. you name it. Really a sight to see. The only regret I have, is by wanting to really take it all in, I made the mistake of leaving my doors open at night. Don't be like me. The mosquitoes welcomed my presence, but definitely not vice versa, but again, that is 100% on me and not the fault of anyone but my own. Just giving an FYI, because it is definitely tempting to want to sleep with them open. As for the beach being across the road... This at first put me off a bit, before reserving, but after reading the reviews, I decided it can't be that bad. And I was right. It definitely is not that big of a deal. Clearly, if you are looking to get on ocean front room or be able to sleep with the sounds of the waves in the background, this resort wouldn't be able to offer that. But the level of nature I explained earlier, truly makes up for it, in my opinion. The walk to the beach is such a leisurely stroll, that it is as though it is nothing at all. Probably the length of 1 and a half football fields to be able to walk up to one of the prettiest beaches in the world! Lastly, the food is good. It's isn't great, but I am yet to stay in an all-inclusive resort where it is great. But it isn't for lack of care or trying. They really are doing their best from what I could tell. And if you don't like something, they will replace it in a blink of an eye. It didn't happen to me, but I know for a fact that they will definitely not let you go hungry! They care too much. The fact that I am from Manhattan and eat at some of the best restaurants in NYC, spoils my palate a bit. That being said, when you get there, make friends with Mr. Patrick (director of dining services), it will be hard not to! Any request you have or need he will make sure to get it taken care of. Was the first customer when they reopened after Covid19 3-month closure. For dinner...shrimp bisque was great, lamb chops were very tough, creme brulee was ok. For breakfast crepes were poor and the fresh OJ was very poor quality. Rooms were great. Poor sidewalk lighting for returning to your unit in the dark. Staff was great.
