Not always easy to disconnect and unwind, but Daril made our days on the beach in Miami worry-free. Even beyond, he and Bruce and the rest of the group anticipated our needs and went out of their way to make us comfortable. We are so appreciative of the effort and care and hope to return soon.

I booked the Ritz for a girls trip with my college study abroad friends. We have been friends for almost 20 years and haven’t seen each other since before the pandemic. We have all recently had children and were looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. We decided on the Ritz because we wanted a luxury experience and got a great rate. The rate came with club access and we were looking forward to it, but didn't know what to expect. We were blown away by the service and hospitality of the staff in the Club. Specifically, Miryam Kinsley, the Club Concierge, was friendly, welcoming and gracious. She took care of our every need with genuine care and concern, and as young mothers, we do not get to feel taken care of very often. So, we took full advantage of the Club experience and recommend that if you are able to use it, do so as well. In addition to the excellent service and hospitality, the hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are spacious and modern, but not cold. The location is excellent - with it being right on the beach with full beach service. The pool area is beautiful as well. It is not a party hotel. The pool vibe is chill and even with a DJ on Saturday, it wasn’t too loud or crazy. I would say it is family friendly, but best enjoyed by adult couples or friends. Overall, it was perfect for us this trip since we were just looking to reconnect, relax, and be pampered! Read less

I'm a day visitor who booked a beach cabana at the Ritz South Beach. Service this morning was fantastic. When I came back with my clients, cabana service excellent (setting up chairs, umbrellas, towels, cold water, sunscreen), but food service from Ritz restaurant was on the slow side. All in all, big thumbs up. Client loved it; his wife and kids loved it. "Very civilized VIP situation" was his first remark (and he just returned from The Masters last weekend to calibrate expectations). But remember that it is a public beach. Some random vendors come by to try to sell you stuff. The public is allowed to set up between the cabanas and the water. When I went out into the water this morning, I gave my wallet to my new friends who run the concession and one of them carried it in his personal fanny pack for safe keeping. Spend $50k upfront and $5k dues annually for access to something similar at a private beach club or this? This, hands down. Another insider tip for people with cars: head of valet parking at Ritz was super kind also and told me about a large parking structure one block away that charges $2/hour instead of Ritz' valet at $50. 16th and Collins, enter on 16th. Big shout out to Jeff, manager of the beach concession, and Adrian who works for them. First class, seven star service. I will return. A lot. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Beware of rooms marketed as oceanfront.

Apr 19, 2024 Bartosz O

Beware of the rooms sold as oceanfront - set at the back of the building they have a marginal view of the ocean. Completely misleading. Our room had a view of a rooftop, the pool, and somewhere in the corner, there was the ocean. There are definitely better places in S Beach.
