Stan (the man) Shaq (man) and Michelle all brilliant Views of beach fantastic Most staff serving dinner very nice Sunsets - really good Food - better than average. Menu and served as opposed to buffet Cons Sunbeds - not enough and therefore people “towel reserving”. Mostly down to beach erosion and therefore lack of available space but they need to rearrange furniture to accommodate Hotel Pick up - booked pick up that never turned up. Hotel quoted at USD 45 then when we called them they said “nevermind get a cab down” cost USD 35 so saved us USD 10 anyway! Pool - not the biggest. Don’t expect to exercise Room service - anytime between 8:30am and 4pm! Really feels like the room is not yours 2 new hotels being built either side so noise, dust and disruption to traffic Rooms - just need a little tlc. Our shower was dripping throughout our stay. Felt like no point in complaining as it’s the Barbadian way Summary On balance, would not recommend and if rebooking would stay in the Sugar Bay just down the road (if you can afford it!) Read less

The beach area is small but there’s much more beach to the right of the hotel. I was worried meals would take a very long time and cause a delay, but that wasn’t a problem at all. I have a very annoying dietary restriction which the cook was able to work around and provide me with very tasty seafood. The oxtail stew is very good and authentic, as my friend whose family is from the island ordered it two nights in a row for dinner. Decent red and rose wines (although they will not serve the sparkling wine aside from the welcome drink, which is a shame) and the bartenders are always up for a challenge. The rum tasting gets five stars. Since they’re only held on Wednesday mornings, Michelle was super accommodating since we were only here for the weekend and was kind enough to give us a modified tasting without her home brought goodies. Highly enjoyable and recommended! Read less

We arrived in Barbados and had a prearranged ride via Barbados Taxi Service and want to start this review by saying they were great. We had some minor flight delays and once they were emailed with the updated infomation they were very responive via email. This hotel is a small boutique hotel which only accomidates approximately 48 people which was not a big deal. The government charges you like $9.50 (U.S.) a day which is charged to your credit card upon checking in. Just read the fine print of the hotel contract before you sign it. The employees to include the chefs make this place great. Everyone is friendly and overly nice. Sean, one of the bartenders is aces and Michelle should run for prime minister of Barbados, she's wealth of information. The beach is nice but a little rocky but nothing to worry about but remember there are no private beaches in Barbados so you can walk the boardwalk and go to any beach you want. There are nicer beaches past the boardwalk and would suggest taking a beach towel to go visit them. You won't be disappointed. The bar is small but quite nice and the drinks are not watered down. Wifi was good though there are a few dead zones. The room was small and little outdated and there is a refrigerator in the room that is not stocked. You get the bare minimum in the room, to include a iron, safe, coffee maker and television. Though there were no issues with hot water the water pressure was low. The pool was small and there were only 24-26 chairs on the pool deck so get out there early. There were very few beach chairs they had some stocked up against the wall but no employees stationed at the beach to help for the most part so you have to set up your own chairs or you have to ask for help. The restaurant is good but very regimented. Breakfast is served from 7-10am. Lunch from 11:00-2pm. Dinner from like 6pm-9:30pm but you need to make reservations for dinner during morning breakfast now here comes the issue. If you eat lunch are 1 pm and can't get into dinner till 8:30 pm, there is no other food to eat so you will need to go off the property to get food if you so choose. The food at the restaurant was very good but becomes repetitive at times. That being said there are cool food places in the area and a short walk from the boardwalk. The people in Barbados are great, it's safe and it's relatively cheap to eat and drink so go support the locals and spend some loot. Just remember that prices are calulated in Barbados currency so expect to pay 1/2 in US dollars. They do serve hot tea at 3pm. The other issue is you're limited to one beach towel per person that gets replaced in the morning when the room is cleaned which makes things challenging. Housekeeping was okay though I think they just sweep and make your bed and give you new towels. Though there were some minor flaws overall it was a enjoyable week with friendly employees. Without the employees I would of given this hotel a 2-3. Hope this review helps. Read less
