Where is it

Located on Huruvalhi Island, Raa Atoll, to the Northwest of Male. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

115 villas, all featuring a king size bed, separate day bed, air conditioning, plunge pool, sun loungers with private decks, direct access to lagoon or beach, mini-bar*, tea/coffee-making facilities, flat screen TV, mood lighting, soaking bathtub and shower with disco ball, flat-screen TV, custom bath amenities, comfy bathrobes, WiFi, and an activity wall. Lagoon Overwater Pool Villa’s feature direct water access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Breakfast Included: all stays include daily buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice in the main restaurant Kula. 

Half Board: two-meal plan, including daily buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice included, and dinner in main restaurant Kula. 

Full Board: three-meal plan, including daily buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice included, lunch, and dinner in main restaurant Kula. 

All-Inclusive: breakfast, lunch and dinner with select beverages served at Kula Restaurant only. Select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (valid at Kula, Todis, Joos Cafe, Guduguda, and BBQ Shak during operating hours). Select minibar items replenished once daily. For stays of 5 nights or more, guests will receive resort credit of $50 USD per villa per stay.

All-Inclusive Plus: breakfast and lunch with select beverages at Kula Restaurant only. Dinner with select beverages served at Kula, Guduguda, or BBQ Shak. Select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (valid at Kula, Todis, Joos Cafe, Guduguda, and BBQ Shak during operating hours). Select minibar items replenished once daily. Afternoon high tea at Joos Cafe. 25% discount on beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that are not included in All Inclusive. 25% discount on Guduguda and BBQ Shak a la carte items non included in All-Inclusive. Ocean Overwater Pool Villas are situated just a few meters away from the house reef, with amazing, uninterrupted ocean views. These villas feature a partial open-air bathroom, as well as direct water access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Lagoon Beach Pool Villas feature stellar views of the white sand beach, with direct beach access from the private deck, great for taking advantage of the resort’s many water sports activities. With open-air bathroom (with giant bathtub and double vanities) and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Ocean Beach Pool Villas have gorgeous views of the white sand beach and ocean, with direct beach access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

We recently spent a week here for our 10th wedding anniversary. This was the perfect place to celebrate and was everything we imagined and more. The Standard offers a holiday you will never forget. The island and surrounding nature is beautiful. The resort and staff offer the highest level of service and hospitality, ensuring you feel relaxed and enjoy every moment. The rooms are luxurious yet still simple making the surroundings of the environment the key element. We stayed in the overwater lagoon villas and found it the best choice fit for us. The seaplane ride in and out of the resort is another highlight and bucket list item on a true Maldives holiday. The welcome lounge offered with The Standard when waiting for the seaplane transfer was a lovely added touch that we didn’t expect. We booked the Standard for our honeymoon and as a couple celebrating their second wedding, we have travelled extensively. The Standard was absolutely wonderful. The setting is obviously naturally magical but the way the hotel has been laid out and the quality of the accommodation is five star. Our honeymoon host FAWWAZ was very nice and responsive to our requests. The food in all the restaurants was first rate which given the delivery restrictions is astonishing and Pasanah and his chefs produce full international offerings which were delicious. The restaurant staff especially Rahab, Jennifer and Teresa were charming at every meal time and took great care of us. Roshan, Robin and Lama in the bar were imaginative with their cocktails and entertaining. We loved the kayaking and went big game fishing with the fantastic Salty and Unaish twice; my husband was delighted to catch an enormous yellowfin tuna but also to share chat with a fellow fisherman in Salty! We loved the spa and had full body Standard massages…..and the snorkelling, and the hammocks …..everything was perfection and we can’t wait to return ❤️❤️❤️ Read less

Thanks to her tact and kindness, our vacation left only pleasant memories, and she easily resolved all requests and disputes instantly. Her professionalism was a pleasant addition to our vacation. If you need something, feel free to contact Aizi. Of course, it is worth noting the work of the main restaurant, which was on top and the manager, who was always ready to help. A small request to add more European dishes to breakfast, toast with avocado or fruit bowls and more yoghurts and cottage cheese, but then it will be too great. Of course, there is one caveat if you want to enjoy the view of the coral reef, you should take care of the mask in advance. Cleaning was carried out every day and was moderately sufficient. The place is very beautiful, there are no mosquitoes, the reef is wonderful, the rooms are quite excellent. We are happy with our choice! Read less

The island is beautiful, you can walk around and the decks are also very nice with a beautiful and clear lagoon. There are nice beaches (except the final beach villas where sand is missing at this period of the year and where you find sand bags...). Avoid villa < 105. Lot of trees around and you can move with bicycles everywhere or walk around. Lovely and spacious villas, well designed, with modern furnitures and decoration. Bed was a little bit hard for me and there was no additional overmattress avilable (but it's very personal!). Colored Led, disco ball and pink floating wheel are nice and funny details ! Very good Lavazza coffee machine in the villa. Pool in every villa (evry if our pool turned into green during our stay and it took 2 days to fix it...). Great atmosphere and generally good music and cocktails in the bars. Staff is smiling and helpful even if quite slow sometimes (you get your coffee when your breakfast is almost finished sometimes !). The spa treatments and the spa area were lovely (just change the music please, the same during 1 week !). Same for yoga sessions which were very inspirational. We even had a full moon meditation on the beach which was wonderful. Food is really good for Maldives. Especially the local one and curries on the buffet are delicious (so nice to not only find pizza!). The restaurants are beautiful and we had very good dinners there. You need to take the All included, if not, restaurants are so expansive ! Even with All inclusive, there are many extras everywhere, which makes it a little bit annoying. That's the first time in Maldives we had so good food ! And Maldivian traditional one also, which was very appreciated. Diving center is great, good boats, small groups, you can almost always see mantas. I did not put 5 stars for this specific reason: SO many families and kids ruined the experience ! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and wanted to be quiet in a sort of cool resort. The atmosphere is there, the decoration, the music, everything has been thought for a great adult experience... and you get kids running and splashing everywhere ! You have a lot of privacy in your villa and around the island, which is not so much annoying, but in all the common areas, it's too much. Imagine, great sunset, good music and cocktail, and kids everwhere ! Even in the japanese restaurant kids running under the disco ball or in the small restaurants... If you want to focus on families, you might loose your adults & couples public. For us it was really a pitty... Read less

In the main restaurant the staff served really delicious food and drinks for all tastes. We have to mention especially "Doris"....she was our star for dinner or breakfast, because she helped us every day to have great dinner. In general the whole team (starting from the general manager and AGM/diving center, gardening, roomkeeping, kitchen, ....) was doing an outstanding job as a perfect organized big "family"-team.
