Very spacious and awesome bathroom, huge with all the fun water features...they have complimentary drinks and snacks (not the alcohol)...we loved the breakfast at the restaurant, I recommend the avocado toast....we also had an unfortunate incident occur with our neighbor, and the hotel took care of it right away. It is also conveniently located in midtown, right in front of the public library, so taking the subway was so quick and easy, no more than 15 min to get anywhere. Plus within walking distance to tons as well, Bryant park is also around the corner Read less

Was awakened many times by the noise from the guests getting out of the elevators though the whole night. - The clock started to play loud music around 3am and really freaked me out. - The A/C was quite noisy when working. Could hardly fall asleep the whole night because of the above issues. - The hair dryer did not work properly, with only the low power mode working, both medium and high power modes not working. I’m still going to nyc! Andaz welcomed us and made us forget all the craziness of the outside. Super cozy lobby, friendly and helpful staff, efficient check in with an upgrade. Room was awesome and perfect size for my niece and I to have our own space. Room service was perfect. Everything was more wonderful than I expected. Oh and the room was so quiet. We faced 41st street and slept solid every night. Read less

Family of 4, stayed in one of their Balcony Suites just before Christmas. The location is brilliant, across from Bryant Park and the library. Easy subway access in central midtown. There was a king bed and a double pull out sofa. Room was a bit tired, table tops had water stains on them, walls were marked by scuffs and scrapes. The bathroom lighting was too dark, with dark walls as well. The shower controls were all loose and hard to set where you wanted the water to come out of: the hand held shower head had great pressure; the ceiling rain water shower head had zero pressure and water cold by the time it reaches you; the third option was a bath spout, but there was no bath, it just runs into the bottom of the shower. And with no shower door, got quite cold in there. The bathroom light switch on the outside wall of the bathroom (in the bedroom) was odd. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. For a family of 4 though, perhaps more than 1 small packet of chips and 1 tiny chocolate bar per day would have been nice. The choice of plain or sparkling water was good. Staff were all lovely when we requested extra items for the room, there’s a list of items that can be requested, but really hard to find that list! Had to go searching through old emails to find the link. Perhaps a printed out version could be left in the room? I understand because of COVID many of these things have been taken out, but perhaps a newly printed sheet of paper with a QR code could be left in the room for each new check in? We had the thermostat turned to our desired temp, the bedroom was warm, but as the living room area had huge floor to ceilings windows/doors, that area was freezing cold (it was below freezing at night) so turned up the heat which made the bedroom area too hot. Good hotel in that price range, in a great location. Read less
