Fitzpatrick Manhattan

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Irish charm a-plenty is what you get at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. You don’t have to come from the emerald isle, however, to enjoy the airy rooms, personal touches and Irish food. The Fitz is your very own place to enjoy some pub-grub, Ireland-style, and a pint of that famous black stuff. Just around the corner from Bloomingdales, Central Park on the doorstep, and St Patrick’s Cathedral nearby — it’s safe to say you’ll be in a fine location to get exploring in a New York minute.

This is the best experience I have ever had staying at a hotel. I had a family emergency and this hotel treated me as if I were family and made my situation bearable. Chris and the all of the staff were remarkable. They greeted my family and I ,every time we walked in the door as if we were long time friends. The professionalism is present too as they go above and beyond anything you could ask for, in reason. The rooms are clean. The cleaning service is daily and they make sure you are happy and have everything you need too. The bellhop became a friend too and was there to help in a second. The hotel is really beautiful and pristine. The rooms are large with all the amenities. The beds are very comfortable with nice sheets. There is also a nice small lounge attached to the hotel. I wish I could remember everyone's name that is on the staff here because I stayed here for weeks and every single person was amazing. They provided umbrellas when rain was in the forecast, they would gather Amazon packages and have them ready for your pickup, they delivered food from other places to your door....I mean they really go out of their way to make guests happy and enjoy their stay. I probably forgot to mention all of the positive things I experienced but my text limit is probably getting to its limit. I would come back here to stay anytime. Read less

We stayed here in December, a first visit for my children to New York so excitement and expectations were high which the city didn’t disappoint, the hotel though, well that’s a different story. On arrival we were greeted by two ladies at reception, we had a lot of luggage but no attempt was made to assist or organise assistance for us and a nod of one of their heads showed us the direction of where the elevator was. Our room was on the 11th floor, we booked a suite with pull out sofa bed. The room was clean (there two were old burnt iron marks on the carpet) but small and very dated. The bathroom was tiny (as other reviewers have commented on) and toiletries for four people were non existent and not replenished during our stay, there were very few sockets in the room we had to unplug the phone to use the socket. The sofa bed wasn’t made up, we were told there was no turn down service but they hadn’t even made up the bed and when housekeeping did (who were excellent by the way) it was only a sheet and a blanket no pillows or duvet until we asked. This is a four star hotel the location is excellent, but they need to up their game. We got lost one day a dropped into a Marriott hotel to ask them to call us a cab to get back to the hotel which they did immediately, back at the hotel we asked reception to call us a cab that evening and they replied that they would need two hours notice!! We ate only once in the restaurant- never again, the food was processed and appalling bad. I would be mortified if I was the restaurant manager in 2021 serving this menu. We’ll return to New York but not to this hotel which is really disappointing as it has a great reputation in Ireland and we were so looking forward to the experience of staying here. There are better hotels in the area, don’t get fooled like we did and buy into the hype of staying here. Read less

We have just returned today from the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. It’s a lovely hotel the staff couldn’t be nicer. Chris took good care of us giving recommendations and information on places to visit. Loved it.

The Fitzpatrick is a wonderful hotel in a great loaction. The staff is very friendly and he rooms are very nice. Since moving after almost 40 years in NYC and then Westchester this is where we stay when returning to NYC. The location cannot be topped and the Irish bar and restaurant are great
