The hotel

Irish charm a-plenty is what you get at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. You don’t have to come from the emerald isle, however, to enjoy the airy rooms, personal touches and Irish food. The Fitz is your very own place to enjoy some pub-grub, Ireland-style, and a pint of that famous black stuff. Just around the corner from Bloomingdales, Central Park on the doorstep, and St Patrick’s Cathedral nearby — it’s safe to say you’ll be in a fine location to get exploring in a New York minute.

I arrived at 2330 on a Friday night in about 90 degree heat - a bit hot and tired. Nothing was too much bother. Even the fact that I had muddled up my booking wasn't an issue. I was given a great room with everything a girl could want. Breakfast on the following morning before setting off to walk to the Met was a proper Irish feast - with proper tea! I went off to Saratoga for a few days racing and returned for another two days. Every minute there was splendid. The staff are all excellent. They take such good care of you. It all stems from great leadership and John Fitzpatrick is that. Read less

The hotel was very comfortable & clean. Staff very friendly. Nice size room and comfortable queen bed. There was a hair dryer, iron and small coffee maker in the room. AND a pants press! I did not try the restaurant and there wasn’t snacks or drinks available super close. Times Square is a little over a mile and it took us 30ish minutes to walk… Read more

When we visit our son, this hotel is like a second home. Everyone who works there is wonderful! The hotel is so pretty and clean. It's a five minute walk to Central Park with great restaurants and coffee shops all around. It's in a very safe are of Manhattan as well. We can't wait to go back!

I stayed at this hotel recently for my best friend's birthday and we couldn't have had a better time. We were upgraded to a suite for free which was lovely; they even wished her a happy birthday when we were checking in. Our room wasn't ready, but they took my phone number to call me when it was. Then followed up to make sure I was told it was ready when we were still out and about. That was a great touch! Every time we left or entered the hotel we were greeted with a smile and they even joked with us about the baseball games. Such personable staff; everyone we encountered was great! I absolutely can not say enough about the staff at this hotel. They were truly a gem and one of the absolute best parts of this hotel! The room was huge and definitely more than enough space for the two of us, and the beds were very comfy. I found a cock roach in the bathroom Sunday morning, but honestly I think that came in on us from the subway system because we used it a lot over the time we were there. Killed it and never saw another bug at all in our room the entire time. I definitely very highly recommend this hotel. The service was amazing, and it was a nice walk to Times Square and the subway station was only a few blocks up which made it great of us to get around when we didn't want to walk. Read less

There are not many hotels in Manhattan that are small and cozy like The Fitzpatrick. If you want a small intimate stay while not sacrificing Lux then this is it. The Staff at this location are friendly and rooms are wonderful. Great quality and clean!
