I deleted my previous 1 star review and am amending my review slightly. My original review is below. After I posted it, I was contacted by senior management to apologize for the issues we incurred and resolve the outstanding issues with our credit card and breakfast. I appreciate that they reached out and fixed things, hence the updated review, but think its frustrating I had to resort to a bad review to get their attention and get our errant credit charges fixed. Would be willing to give them another try if the rooms were better. Original review Everything in our room was broken ( shower, door lock). Management didn't fix it. Bathrooms are tiny and falling apart. I saw mold underneath the sink. We did the breakfast package and Via Sophia was constantly out of things like milk for breakfast. How do you run out of milk? Our server there was incredibly rude and also overcharged us for breakfast even though we had a package. On check out, they overcharged us on our credit card, and they are impossible to get ahold of to fix it. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Tony the concierge was the best!

The best part was Tony the concierge. He always had a smile, made the trip stress free. He’d walk me outside and point me in the right direction. He reserved me a nighttime tour and also had some free tickets for museums that required a scheduled time. The hotel was nice and clean but Tony made it 5 stars

I was given a lovely room overlooking the park with two windows. The view was quite tranquil. Everything about my stay felt better than expected. The bathrooms were modern. The bed was plush and comfortable. The windows blocked out most of the street noise. The coffee maker was appreciated in the morning. The only thing that did not quite match expectation was the WiFi. It was advertised as gig internet, but was in reality quite slow. Not a big issue on my stay as I also have 5G backup. I’d definitely return here and would make it a point to give the restaurant a try, too. Looked cute and seems well-reviewed. Read less

We stayed at Hamilton Hotel DC in April 2024 for a weekend. The location is good. The rooms are not too bad but the front desk service is the worst I have ever experienced. I have been traveling a lot and stayed in multiple hotels in the US and abroad and I have never experienced such a rude and condescending manner from front desk manager. I can’t believe this person, named Kevin, represents this hotel at the front desk. As a context, after checking in, we discovered that the fridge bar in the room was half empty and had used cups with water. We advised front desk about this and took picture as evidence so we don’t get charged for it. Instead of apologizing and assuring us that we won’t be charged, this manager completely ignored our request by telling us that hotel is not responsible for stocking the bar. When my partner tried to talk to him he simply shut him down by putting his hand in front of his face. I was appalled by this action, this is just a high level disrespect to your customers. When confronted on his disrespect and pure racism toward my partner, this person played a victim and called security with a threat to remove us from the hotel. I can’t believe that security person had to deescalate the situation in order to resolve the issue which should not have happened to begin with. The manager could avoid all this incident by apologizing and ensuring that the fridge will be cleaned. I would not recommend to stay at Hamilton Hotel DC unless you want to be humiliated and threatened to be removed. Read less

Pork tenderloin melt in your mouth, salads crisp & fresh. Lots of side dishes offered. Tiramisu desert was delightful! The restaurant breakfast menu is brief but the food soooo good. I recommend getting the breakfast included w/room and sharing the pancakes and omelette. Have a cappuccino if regular coffee too boring. The location across from the beautiful Franklin Park and very close proximity to the White House was a huge bonus. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. I highly recommend Coco Lezzone just up the street and around the corner as the food is superb and it’s on the way to the Whitehouse. For these reasons I highly recommend the Hamilton Hotel, and I cannot wait to come back soon. Read less
