In North Hollywood, just minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood℠. Less than 10 minutes drive to the Walk of Fame and a bit further to Beverly Hills. Transfer time from Los Angeles International Airport: 30 minutes (depending on traffic).

257 room and suites. All with a private balcony, air-conditioning, 37" flat-screen TV with access to streaming apps, fridge, bathroom amenities, in-room safe, tea/coffee-making facilities, complimentary WiFi, hairdryer, iron and board (on request). All rooms and balconies are non-smoking. Deluxe Rooms have 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Garland. The hotel rooms are lovely and spacious and so clean. The pool area is a nice place during the day and evening, and at a certain time they show a movie so you can chill around the pool watching the movie. We absolutely loved our stay at The Garland. The hotel rooms are lovely and spacious and so clean. The pool area is a nice place during the day and evening, and at a certain time they show a movie so you can chill around the pool watching the movie. Also the LA street food truck they do in the evening is so tasty! Worth trying. There was many families there, which was lovely to see. The hotel have a shuttle to the closest metro which was handy for us to get around LA. There’s shops about 5 minute walk away which we used to get water/drinks/snacks. There’s also a restaurant which we unfortunately didn’t get chance to try, but looked good. At the end of our corridor they had a drink and ice cupboard which was handy. The hotel staff were lovely and so welcoming and the people around the pool were helpful. Also free Wi-Fi!! Read less

3rd time staying at the Garland and still the best hotel ever! Rooms - fabulous Staff - fabulous Tram service to Universal - fabulous Pool - fabulous Night time pool movies - fabulous Location - fabulous California vibe - fabulous So final verdict - FABULOUS!!!

Stayed here for 4 nights before flying onto vegas. Arrived early evening due to flight being delayed from the UK. Room was large and spacious with a small balcony, all the staff we encountered were polite. Had one breakfast in the on site restaurant Front Yard but found them really expensive, cheaper option is to head to nearby Starbucks. As we weren’t driving we took and Uber everywhere, we also made use off the free shuttle bus to Universal where we are at city walk. Would stay here again, seemed a popular place with us brits. I would never have left a review, and if I had I would have given 4 stars (minus 1 star for the air conditioner that was way too loud, the fridge that buzzed all night, and the unattended toddlers and young kids in the hot tub against the rules over the entire evening), but the frustration I experienced dealing with the person who has been corresponding with me motivated this review. This is the first negative review I've left on Google, but I find it necessary to warn others about the charges and poor customer service experience. The quoted price for the room including taxes and fees that I received in the email was not the price charged. When The Garland sent me there own internal survey, I mentioned this as a source of disappointment. I never intended on writing a public review, I just thought that since they were sending me the survey I'd let them know. Soon after, I received an email from an employee of The Garland asking if I'd like any fees adjusted. I explained which fees I took issue with, since she reached out to me, and forwarded her my confirmation email containing the price I expected to be charged. Instead of making the adjustment for the fees that were misquoted in my confirmation email, she continued questioning me over email, and once she understood the problem she told me that "I do see that, however even that total has an asterisk." I responded that she should not have reached out to me and wasted my time, since the survey that I responded to was internal. After two stays while visiting Universal, I will never stay there again. To the management, please don’t waste guests’ time by sending them emails asking them if they would like any adjustment to fees that were undisclosed only to tell them that because of an asterisk they will not receive an adjustment. We are talking about $20 here that I never would’ve asked for if I hadn’t received the initial email from the Garland responding to my completion of their internal survey. Read less
