The hotel

They may call themselves a ‘base camp’, but that’s definitely only in spirit — not in style. Thanks to its location, Banff Aspen Lodge is favoured by those wanting to pitch up and experience all the attractions of this popular ski and spa town, from its snow sports to its famous hot springs. But its style is far from ‘base camp’. Second time staying at this hotel. Entirely satisfied. The room was a good size, clean, and functional. Beds are nice and comfortable. Love the outdoor hot tubs.

The staff at Banff Aspen Lodge went above and beyond. Ron, the Front Office Manager, was particularly helpful and helped us resolve what would otherwise have been a costly and very disappointing situation. We definitely want to return again soon!

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and always enjoyed it, but this visit was disappointing. The room had unclean sheets and pillowcases, and there were stains on the couch and chairs. Additionally, noises at night significantly disrupted our sleep.

The location of the hotel is great, very walkable to most restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay! The cafe in the lobby was delicious. The free breakfast was also very good. I would definitely come back to this property! The price is reasonable.
