Unbelievable location and service by all the team there, especially the front desk and bar team. But special thanks to the conciege team who made wonderful recommendations for tours and made the bookings. Recommended restaurants and cafes that were a must, namely The Spotted Cafe in frenchman street and Palm Court Restaurant

Had a 10 day stay booked, wanted somewhere in the French Quart and the Hyatt seemed to fit the bill. Check in was quick and easy, and soon we had unpacked so headed down stairs only to find the bar closes at 2200 hours and there is no provision for a late bar. We headed across the street to a nearby bar and had a few beers there. We had a solid night's sleep, in part I think due to exhaustion as we had started travelling at 0515 (Eastern European Summer Time) with a 5 hour lay over in London. The bed was nice and spacious, and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and had everything we needed. There was a walk in wardrobe with a small safe and ironing table/iron both of which were really useful. I had packed a travel iron! WiFi in the room was good and could update Apps in seconds or stream using YouTube. Had breakfast in the hotel that morning, and there was a nice selection of foods on the menu, and the menu does change as it did during our stay. On returning to the hotel after walking around the local area our room had been serviced. There was a coffee maker and you get packs of sugar/creamer/stirer/napkin. I asked at reception if I could get a kettle and sone English breakfast tea bags. Had to make the request again because it appeared they had left more coffee pods for the machine. It eventually dawned on me that they were tea pods for the machine so, made another journey down to reception to apologise for my mistake. The staff were not phased by this at all. I also started asking at the bar or the breakfast bar for fresh milk - there is a small fridge in the room so was able to store it ok and there is no additional charge. The coffee BTW is one of the nicest coffee's I have had in a hotel - I don't drink much coffee preferring tea. We started having a few afternoon drinks at the bar, in part because as you walk in the bar staff would give a wave and a few words of conversation. The bar was very well run and the staff very attentive. Used the concierge services a few times - we had pre booked tours but on reflection could have done much of it via the hotel which I feel would have been better. One of the guys (? bell boy) Eric was always asking if we were ok, needed directions or help with anything and on learning we were checking out asked if we needed help with our luggage. Everything we had was billed to our room and as we were using a cash card, we had to ensure we were topping this up on a regular basis because the daily spend was pre authorised daily so had to keep an eye on this. Had a slight problem on check in, despite having plenty of dollars on the card it would not work and was informed at reception (?Viktor) that I needed to use the card with a withdrawal so used the ATM in the hotel and it then worked fine. Arranged a late check out and 1700 hours was the latest we could have which was fine because our transfer was collecting us at 1730 and this cost $70. Checking out was quick and easy and opted for an email reciept. All of the staff without exception were very pleasant and polite, always acknowledging you. The hotel is ideally situated for all the attractions, it is a short walk to the river front, paddle steamers and pick up points for plantation tours. Being in The French Qurter it is only a short walk to many of the key streets and we were fortunate enough to arrive on a weekend when there was a festival/parade. I think for us it took some adjustment to being in the city (we live in a very quiet location where the only noise is an early morning rooster!) with all the noises that go with it along with the hustle and bustle on the streets. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel!! Read less

We had a nice large petite suite facing the courtyard. It was dead quiet, even on a Bourbon Street Saturday night. The place is spread out and probably a few buildings spliced together. My one complaint is there is just one elevator bank and they are comically slow.

This place is located very close to Bourbon Street and close proximity to the many great restaurants! Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and very attentive! Was a little disappointed about the bar closing at 10pm as our group Hosted a Conference with over 120 in attendees with no bar option to entertain. It would have been very generous for the hotel management to accommodate extending the bar hours to at least 12am. It was a little unsafe for our attendees to go elsewhere and walk late night in the dark streets within the permitter of the hotel. Just a small detail that will go a long way with future conferences. Read less

Loved my stay at this hotel. Great customer service and the bar in the lobby has great food and drinks. Right off of bourbon street so close to the places to be but a little loud in certain rooms but noise did stop by midnight and I was able to sleep well.
