The hotel

In a hillside woodland setting close to the entrance to Yosemite National Park, Rush Creek Lodge offers warm, friendly service and a wealth of activities. You can hire a bike, enjoy a yoga class, relax by the pool or play a game of bumper pool! Enjoy the fresh California cuisine at the lodge’s two restaurants — both with al fresco seating for the warmer days. Choose between the rustic yet stylish Restaurant with its wood-burning oven and open kitchen, or the more casual Tavern with its big screen TVs, signature cocktails and evening music. There's also daily activities, from wildlife talks and kids crafts to beer tasting - and the lodge's nightly tradition of complimentary s'mores by the fire pit.

Grounds are well kept. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Adequate parking with short walk to room. Cons: The hotel advertises it has a restaurant for dining. It was not open for seating during our 3 night stay. The dining reservation manager/seating host (male) was abrasive, pompous and rude. Really?, you can’t speak to and treat your hotel guests with common courtesy? Sir, you are doing such a disservice to your employer. Only option for dining was seating in the tavern, which was noisy and understaffed. Kids yelling, running unattended in and out. Menu was very limited, expensive and the same all 3 nights. Closest other restaurant options was a 25 min or so drive to Groveland. Upon our exit at reception area, no one said “thank you” for your stay. Read less

Perfect location. Easy to get into both the Valley and the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. Accommodations were not luxurious but our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Great for families - a lot of activities onsite. If you like things quieter, you might consider their sister property, the Evergreen.

Where do I begin. The check in staff were friendly and polite. Then when we got to our room I was blown away at how perfect it was. We had a king bed with a pull out sofa for our son. Our room was in the main lodge. The balcony was amazing we had a view of the wilderness/ forest. This is a great resort if you have a child. The playground… Read more

My son wanted to play there every day. They have a great game room with every game one can ask for if you have a child. Legos, rock climbing, pin ball machine and so much more. The pool was great my son went swimming every day. I cannot wait to come back and I will definitely share this with friends. Read less

This was a very nice, clean and very quiet place to detach from all of the traffic and noise of our daily lives. It’s a must if you don’t want to go too far into Yosemite but still soak in the forest.
