The hotel

Set on the sands in Fort Lauderdale, the Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a perfect paradise. You can spend your days on the white-sand beach, floating around in the lazy river and zero-entry pool, and tasting the delicious seafood and ice creams. Your room has been decorated with the ocean in mind, and is a real retreat for you to return to. Where is it

Directly on Fort Lauderdale Beach, overlooking a 500ft stretch of private beach. 3.5 miles from the dining and nightlife on Las Olas Boulevard. Transfer time from Miami International Airport: 45 minutes.

City Lights Rooms are 480 sq ft and have views of Fort Lauderdale, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Ocean View Rooms are 510 sq ft and have views of the Atlantic Ocean, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people.

Seaside Suites are 632 sq ft and have a private balcony with views panoramic ocean views, a separate living room with loveseat sofa bed, and 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 3 adults and 2 children.

Superior Seaside Suites are as above, but are located on floors 9-11 with unbeatable ocean views, an enhanced beach experience including reserved lounge chairs, towels, umbrella and bottled water, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 3 adults and 2 children.

For starters, the room was not worth a $1,000 per night rate for an ocean front balcony room. The pull out sofa that our kids slept on was extremely uncomfortable they had no pillows or blankets in the room and there was make up stains on the sheets when we opened the sofa. For starters, the room was not worth a $1,000 per night rate for an ocean front balcony room. The pull out sofa that our kids slept on was extremely uncomfortable they had no pillows or blankets in the room and there was make up stains on the sheets when we opened the sofa. We called room service for more towels (party of 4) only 3 towels in the bathroom. They never brought up any. We went to dinner off site and when we got back still no towels. We called again and asked for extra pillows for main bed and the sofa bed had no bed pillows or blanket. It finally came and the pillows barely had stuffing on them. Even smelt old. The next morning 4/25/2024 we purchased a cup of coffee from the hotel boutique and walked outside to sit near the fire pit which overlooks the ocean. My finance tripped on an un-leveled paver and fell to the ground and twisted his ankle. Breakfast was fantastic. But by the time we got up from breakfast his ankle had swelled up and the hotel staff brought him ice. We were supposed to receive a $50 resort credit to be applied to breakfast but the front desk said it’s up to the restaurant to deduct the credit ?! Needless to stay still never got it. $48 a day to park your car ? What?! The beach was lovely as was the hotel lobby and restaurant. We were very disappointed in our stay and cancelled our second night stay. Read less

Resort was great, room oustanding, pool and beach area very good. Employees very good. The not so good is $48 plus tax to park. Restaurant was a bad experience both times we went. I really would have to put that on the same waiter that semi attempted to serve us. I would recommend, Pelican Grand for sure, but enjoy better dining options off… Read more
