If you ask us, growing out of childhood ambitions is highly overrated. And while we can’t help you to be a pirate or astronaut, we can make you forget about the Tonka Toys and give you an amazing, grin-inducing experience with full-size bulldozers and excavators. The gateway to this playground is only a short 10-minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip.
This is your chance to turn the fantasy of operating heavy machinery into a fun-filled reality. You’ll have a 1, 2 or 3 hour session in this giant sandpit for adults, and you’ll have just as much fun. As with operating heavy machinery in ‘real life’, you’ll start out with a safety briefing and have to take a breathalyser test, and you’ll go through some standard training on how to play with these yellow beasts. Choose from an air-conditioned (naturally — this is tough work… in a desert) Caterpillar D5G Track-Type Bulldozer and a Caterpillar 3I5CL Hydraulic Excavator on the ‘Big Dig’, or play with both in the ‘Mega Dig’. You’ll just have to don your trendy high-vis vest and hardhat and before you know it — it’s time to ride.
Climb into your chosen earthmover and start your engine. A friendly instructor will guide you through all the basics while you’re in the cab (via nifty headset) and you’ll soon be having endless amounts of fun with a series of incredible activities. It’ll take some getting used to, but pretty soon you’ll be wheeling around Nevada, digging, pushing and dragging heavy stuff around. In the bulldozer, it’s all about building huge mounds, pushing the earth (or gigantic tyres) around and rolling through the yard like you own the place. With the excavator, you’ll be tearing big holes in the earth, digging massive trenches and stacking those 2,000 pound tyres back up after the bulldozers have left them lying around. Sigh. Always leaving this place like a building site…
Want to really test your newfound construction skills? The team here will guide you through a game of ‘Excavator Basketball’ or ‘Bulldozer Teeter-Totter’ just for the fun of it, and at the end of your session, you’ll receive an official certificate of completion and have a photo taken to commemorate your time in the sandbox. You can even pick up a souvenir from the store, you know… if you were really digging your time here (sorry).

Depending on when you are due to travel, your holiday may be affected and we’ll email you to let you know as least 21 days before travel.

Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.
We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility.

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.
Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
