The Rockley by Ocean Hotels

The Rockley meet all of our expectations and more! Newly renovated (Previously called the South Beach Hotel) has a Boutique/chic beautiful space which you feel as soon as you walk up the steps to be met with an amazing pool/lounge/bar area. Troy (the best) met us at the doors helping with our bags, offering a refreshing drink as we checked into our 10 day stay. All staff are amazing (we loved them all but special mention to Ingrid, Troy and Tarina) they are always offering to help in assist with helping to organize you if bussing (if going out for an adventure) exchanging $$ or just asking how your day is. Someone is constantly cleaning to keep the appearance of cleanleniss… it was impeccable. We loved our room - it was modernly decorated with Beautiful bright colors and was perfectly clean. We immediately felt at “home”. The small kitchenette and pantry area were perfect. We took full advantage of everything the hotel offered - the hot buffet breakfasts are delicious with many options (eggs, bacon or ham, baked beans, potatoes, friend plantain’s, fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh bread, loaves and cereals) The fitness room is basic but all you need on vacation and we loved using it every day. And 3 times a day happy hours are a bonus to grabs quick adult drink! They also offered fun daily/evening activities around the pool/bar area, which too should totally take advantage of! Right across the street is the amazing Rockley beach and during our stay they provided fresh clean beach towels and a card to take over where they had 20 umbrellas and 2 loungers (per umbrella) secured for guests! The guys working the beach huts/beverage stands were great, offered you service but not pushy and very nice. We took advantage every day of running/walking the boardwalk attached to the right side of the beach… it has beautiful views to watch as you use it (side note - a number of sections are covered with sand so it makes for a really great calve work out 😂) We 100% would recommend a visit. We enjoyed our stay at the Rockley so much, the room was clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable and the staff were amazing. Happy hour was a great value and the drinks were fabulous!! A very enjoyable breakfast was offered with everything you could need. A fantastic place to stay as far as location and access to beach and restaurants near by. Id stay again any day!! Read less

The Rockely Hotel. Re branded name for South Beach Hotel. We had a fantastic week here, reception staff are totally amazing, so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble to sort. Big ups for Janice and Troy but all staff in the hotel were great. Room was so good with kitchen area, comfortable lounge, great bathroom and huge shower, big comfortable bed, air conditioning and a balcony overlooking the front of hotel. Amazing beach just across the road and free sunbeds with voucher provided by reception. Washing machine and dryers on each floor, should you need them. You have to book for Troy's Island tour its a brilliant way to see the island and some of its hidden gems. Light lunch included and of course some rum punch! Had a great stay at this hotel. The staff made our stay as they were all polite and so friendly and would go out of their way to help to get you what you needed . The hotel is in a great location, the only slight niggle was that our room was facing the main road and it was quite noisy, but we did get used to the beeping cars and the general noise so became immune to it after a few days . Great location for the beach and the public transport. Such a wonderful team at the Rockley (new name for South Beach). Decor and amenities at the hotel are fabulous and trip was a very good value. We had a cruise and then stayed here which was so the right choice. Apartments were clean and spacious, the pool area is small but plenty of beds and if all are taken then the beach is only over the road and few tokens for beach beds were really appreciated. The breakfasts and lunches are yummy and the free wifi and free washing facilities are a great bonus. The bar area is great but also we had recommendations and help with booking local restaurants. Would definitely recommend and return when in the area again. Read less
