Well where to start, the hotel is clean and tidy there are plenty of beds to choose from around the pool area, the staff are off the scale, in fact the whole area we have visited from Bridgetown to Oistins the people here are just so friendly, wouldn’t hesitate to come back at all!!! The hotel is smack bang in the middle of the “Gap” think touristy bars that over charge for drinks a third of the price a 100 yards up the road. The hotel facilities are second to none in my opinion and is well equipped for those wanting to cook your own food etc, there’s a cooker, toaster, fridge and ample utensils to help you along the way, there are plenty of shops 5/6 mins away if you want to grab provisions, bear in mind some foods here are very expensive compared to the uk such as milk and butter. The pools is well maintained as is the outside and inside of the hotel with cleaners every day if you want them, transportation up and down the strip is easy and an experience in its self, just stand at the side of the main road and within minutes a ZR van will honk its horn and bundle you in and take you up and down the strip with a cost of $3.50BBD pp (as of 2024) they are amazing and so quick. All in all our first time here in Barbados and having had the experience we have had it definitely won’t be the last. Great hotel and brilliant staff. Ohh and not forgetting 2 happy hours each day. Haha. PS. Regarding the noise, yes on some nights it’s audible but we have ear plugs and on the nights it was a little louder than normal we just used them. Read less

The hotel was perfect excellent staff on checking room was more than adequate. We were hardly in it but every day it was cleaned and left spotless. Views were to die for. Breakfast had great choice and again staff were very friendly. We did not use the pool as there was so many beaches to explore but was used by many. Only thing I did notice people were reserving sunbed at 6am and as there’s not that many I did think it was unfair on everybody plus half the time people didn’t go to them til gone 10 so others could if benefited . Very noisy!! Hotel is great and pool area is fabulous but unless you like to listen to karaoke until 3am ( or indulge in it ) choose a hotel further away from the karaoke bar directly across the road. I can’t explain how noisy it is it’s almost like the singing ( loosely)is at the bottom of your bed !! Even earplugs don’t help. Staying with my grown up daughter we are not averse to a bit of night life but this is really a deal breaker. When the bar was closed on the Monday night we and other guests were so relieved it felt like a different place. I know property responses mention quieter rooms but these can only be the 5 or 6 poolside suites which you have next to no chance of securing. We’ve stayed on the Gap before and it is lively in a good way but not the 3am screeching. We almost laughed about it in the end and refused to allow it to spoil our holiday but seriously for anyone wanting a relaxing break avoid this hotel. The hotel seriously needs to negotiate with the bar in some way for a 12 or 1am close and fit better doors to block out some sound. Stay further up the road at Infinity or down round the corner at Yellow Bird. Sadly would not return. Read less
