The hotel

They care that you are always happy and no one passed by without a smile and a greeting. We did Preferred Club and I'm so glad as the beach club restaurant was one of my favorite spots. Shout out to the staff there- Carlos B., Mateo, Richard and Manases!!.. Also loved our concierge Emmanual- gracious and sweet. You can't train people to be this awesome- they just are. Really enjoyed the wide variety of food on property- beautiful plating and layers of flavors. Hard to pick a favorite meal as they were all fantastic. There was always a revolving flurry of activities, entertainment and special events for guests. For someone like me, no detail went unnoticed and I truly appreciated all of them! My photos from my average Android phone look like something from a brochure because the place is just that gorgeous. Thank you to the entire staff for giving me 6 perfect days in paradise!! Read less

If you only know English, some of staff of challenged to understand and be able to follow through on a request. Either related to bartender, wait staff, house keeper or your building manager. There are always a variety of people that have spirit and abilities in any culture. Cancun is like other places. Most try to please and are very friendly. They may say they understand, but they really may be confused by what was intent of conversation, when they depart. So because they say they will do something, doesn't really mean it will get done. If you know Spanish, use it! Some staff struggle with English comprehension, just means they didn't understand you is all. But 90% of time they know English very well in their roles. The roving Entertainment Team is outstanding on property and will engage and create fun and fun atmosphere if guests finally finally loosen up and participate. They seem to have a challenging role in motivating, it's the guests, not the staff! They do have a tough role to energize a group of people! ;-) The beach waterfront Team is very helpful too on the toys you can check-out at no charge. Food and restaurants are generally good and very friendly service oriented staff to heighten any meal time or even snack experience. CoCo's is always open and can work in any pinch if other restaurants are closed, used that several times! Also there is 24 hr room service, should you choose. Tip the beach staff well, especially if they take you our sailing and spend 40 minutes with you and other guests if you don't know how to sail a little HobieCat. They earn it! Sailing is simple enough to learn on those small cats. And someone is watching you periodically and will come out to get you if something happens you just stay in sight of property and don't go beyond reef, it's pretty sheltered from reef so on windy days 20 mph, waves aren't that big. It'll be a good experience. Respect staff and they will respect and honor you! All staff is customer focused and most always greet you should you walk by staff member in opposite direction. And because no minors are allowed on property, it can be very tranquil if you choose that solitude option, There is no airport nearby and cannot hear any traffic from highway. Very peaceful property. Best time ever staff super friendly and helpful every meal was excellent from the buffet to the the French cuisine and all in between the only draw back would be low end bourbon at the bars but I knew that going in so I got some at the duty free

Exceptional service, world’s best beach, great food and entertainment, what’s not to love! Spent 6 nights 7 days in an ocean view room for our anniversary. Will definitely be visiting other secrets properties based on our experience at Maroma Beach. A post card paradise experience.
