The hotel

There’s a certain seaside feel at the revamped Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club – and it doesn’t just come from its location, virtually anchored to the sands and boardwalk of Miami Beach. Its guestrooms are decked out in cool whites, greys, and navy blues for a refreshing coastal feel; while the finishing touches have a hint of the Art Deco heritage this ocean-skirting oasis is famous for. The latest hotel to make it into Marriott’s Autograph Collection, when you return hungry from the beach, or a dip in its two pools, or shopping in the nearby Design District, the Cadillac’s new restaurant welcomes you back with crispy rustic pizzas straight from its wood-fired oven, while the mixologist at its oceanfront bar shakes you their signature cocktails.

Where is it

On Miami Beach, a 30-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride from the main Art Deco area along a wooden boardwalk. Driving time from Miami International Airport: 25 minutes.

357 rooms and Suites on 14 floors in 2 buildings (Cadillac Tower and Ocean Tower). All with air-conditioning, flatscreen TV, pay-per-view movies*, WiFi, telephone, mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker, bottled water, safe and iron and board. Standard City View rooms have 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Ocean View rooms have 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 

Oceanfront Rooms have direct views of the Atlantic Ocean, with 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.Oceanfront King Suites are spacious rooms with separate living area as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

My partner and I visited the Cadillac Beach Resort last year using Marriott Bonvoy points and liked so many aspects of it (upgraded room, friendly staff) we thought we’d try again, this time paying…what a disappointment. We arrived early for check in and didn’t expect a room to be ready so went out to lunch, walked around and came back much closer to the appointed time. Still no room but lots of “it’s almost ready, housekeeping is finishing up” - two hours later, still no room. I asked to speak to a manager but was told “he’s busy” but he’d call me back. No call back. When told we couldn’t be upgraded, even though we were booked into the second highest non-suite room category, despite the website showing higher category rooms and suites available, I was told “those are for sale, not for upgrades” - when I went to bed in our room overlooking the dumpsters, they were still showing available. As a Bonvoy Titanium, I didn’t feel particularly well treated (they gave me a really hard time about a later check out too, even though it was a Sunday) and I didn’t get to speak to a manager until we checked out - she was very nice and apologetic and offered points and a resort fee waiver for compensation. The food in the restaurant is good and the location is good, but I’ll invest in a nicer option next time. Read less

I really had I hopes for this hotel but was terribly disappointed. We booked a room with two beds so three of us could stay over a long weekend during the off-season. I made it clear when I booked that there were three of us staying. At check-in, I had asked if we could have an ocean view room and I was told it wouldn't be possible because they were fully booked. Unfortunately, that wasn't true because I overhears two other staff members talking about how a lot of the rooms were not occupied and they could upgrade people if someone asked for it. Next problem was when we went up to our room, it had one kind sized bed. I had to go down to the front desk and ask why we weren't in a room with the two beds I booked. I was told that they couldn't guarantee room types and that was all they had available. I asked how three adults were supposed to to make this work, and the room didn't have enough space for a rollaway bed. After way too much back and forth, we finally were given a new room and, guess what, it had two beds with an ocean view. The front desk person was so incredibly inhospitable and no one wants to start off their vacation being treated this way. She made it seems like we were the problem. I don't know if this is how the staff normally treat guests but it was so disappointing. We weren't told about any amenities or anything else that was going on at the hotel at check in and we had to find out about it from another guest we met while waiting for the elevator. Luckily, we spent most of our time at the beach so we didn't have to deal with anyone else working here, but there are plenty of other places to stay in Miami and we'll stay elsewhere for our next trip. Stayed here on April 26. Went to the beach on the 27th and left for an hour or so while it rained. Came back to the beach and was told I had to pay extra to get a chair and towels because I had already been provided with a chair and towel earlier that day. Came back to the beach and was told I had to pay extra to get a chair and towels because I had already been provided with a chair and towel earlier that day. My chair was no longer available and the towels were wet from the rain. I have already been charged a resort fee which supposedly includes towel and chair at the beach. I went to the lobby reception to complain and the worker did absolutely nothing. I sat in front of him for 30 minutes in the lobby and he still did nothing. I am using this time to find another hotel and write this review. We have Ambassador level status with Marriott hotels - stay at Marriott properties around the world on a weekly basis and this is by far the worst experience ever at a Marriott hotel. Read less

Annie at the front desk was amazing! My stay was made all the more wonderful by her above and beyond customer service. The two pools and the hot tub were super relaxing and being so close to the beach was a huge plus as well. Thank you again Annie!

Very nice, Mid Beach boutique hotel. Low key, relaxing ambiance. Upgraded to ocean view room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bar and open air casual dining right off the beach. Food very good and service professional. Three day adult getaway, just what we were looking for. Would go again!
