TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
We've just returned from our stopover in Dubai where we stayed at this incredible hotel for 48 hours between flights from Lisbon to Sydney. It is located about 10 minutes from the airport, and... Read more another 10 minutes to all the other key sights (Wafi mall, Burj Khalifa, Dubai mall). The room was spacious and perfect for us (2 adults + 2 children under 4). We found the hotel complex was very kid friendly especially the pool area and surrounding gardens. As we were only stopping for 48 hours, it was important for us to be able to have amenities nearby. The spa was incredible too, I didn't get a chance to try out the treatments but the spa itself includes, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and shower experiences - all perfect for a de-frag between flights. Concierge and in-house staff are friendly, attentive and go out of their way. They were especially good with our kids which may our stay so much easier. I'm looking forward to coming through Dubai again and staying here on our next trip to Europe. Stay here - it's worth it!! Read less
We stayed here for three nights in August. We could tell straight away that this was a proper five star hotel. It was fabulous in every way! The service was outstanding, from the pools to the... Read more restaurants to the door staff, and the reception to the room cleaning ( the room cleaning was really amazing) The interior of the hotel is gorgeous and the indoor and outdoor pools are fantastic. We enjoyed eating at the restaurants, especially the Lebanese restarant with authentic Lebanese entertainment. However special praise goes to the Market Cafe because the breakfasts were out of this world. It was so enjoyable to eat there , there is even a stream running through the cafe . We still day-dream about it those breakfasts! It was easy to travel around Dubai getting taxis from the hotel ( which were all good and not expensive) and the hotel was not far from the Dubai mall and the Burj Khalifa. It didn't take long to go further, for example to the Mall of the Emirates and Atlantis. As for the airport, the journey was only a few minutes as the hotel is quite close. We all loved this glamorous hotel and would love to return. Read less
The Grand Hyatt Dubai is one of my favourite Hyatt hotels in the world, in fact it is one of my favourite hotels full stop. I have stayed here many times and it maintains a consistent exceptional... Read more standard. The hotel is conveniently located near the Dubai International Airport, which of course makes it ideal for short stays and transit stops. However, Dubai is only a small city and it is incredibly easy to commute around and taxi's are safe, clean and reasonably priced. So even though the Grand Hyatt is located at the northern end of Dubai, it is short taxi ride to just about anywhere. One of the major attractions is the Burj Khalifa and Emirates Shopping Mall, which is only 10 minutes away. The Dubai Creek is just across the bridge where one of the best golf courses is located. What stands the Grand Hyatt apart from other hotels is the service levels. The staff are amazing and plentiful. The crispness and cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional and the staff are friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The maintenance program on the hotel must be incredible, because it always feels brand new. The hotel facility itself is large and there are terrific facilities, such as the extensive pool area and grounds, well equipped gym and an excellent spa. I am lucky enough to be a Diamond Gold Passport member and the way they look after you, from the check in process in the lounge to the attention to detail throughout your stay is amazing. I would say that the Club Lounge at the Grand Hyatt Dubai is one of the best world wide. The staff seem genuinely happy to be working there and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Dubai on route to Istanbul. I asked for an early check in because the flight landed from Melbourne at 5am. This was not even mentioned when I checked in. The room was immediately available and I was offered a late check out the next day if I needed it. The attention to service is really special at this hotel. I will be back at the Grand Hyatt Dubai for 4 nights in October on the way back from Europe and very much looking forward to the next stay. Read less
