TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
A two night Dubai stop came at the end of our five week European journey and it was lovely to go out on such a high. We booked the Grand Hyatt because research online indicated that it had the best... Read more pools for adults and infants - and we were not disappointed. In fact we spent the majority of our two day stay in the pool! Our little one loved the infants pool - as did we adults with the water sprays doubling as massage jets; and lovely ones at that. Pool side bar service was excellent - including free ice creams and juices offered, a very nice touch. We arrived in the wee hours and had to wait an hour for a room but they gave us one even though our's was not yet ready - and we just swapped over after a much needed nap. Could've done with a lesser wait than an hour however as we had booked a 24 hour check-in package - but semantics! Check in staff (Tobias especially) were excellent as were porters and kitchen staff - everyone in fact. Room was large (fantastic huge comfy bed), quiet and attractive. Big floor to ceiling window made the most of Dubai views and heavy curtains kept the room dark for sleeping in. Breakfast is served till late which was great and the buffet was extensive. Freshly made pancakes, French toast and waffles a highlight. Not a cheap hotel but worth every cent for the luxury - and those pools! Read less
Whether on business, for pleasure or just stopping over on a long flight you cannot go wrong with the GH. It is close to the airport, 10 minutes but is quiet and secluded. The staff are extremely... Read more courteous and efficient. There is a good selection of quality food and everything works as it should do. The rooms themselves are spacious clean and comfortable, I was on the 15th floor, and the club lounge is one of the best I have experienced. I have only two minor complaints. First beware of the mini bar in the room, especially if you have kids. It is grossly overpriced and it works on pressure sensors so if you take an item out to look at it.....kerching. Secondly the price of wine is likewise grossly over priced. I accept that this is a Muslim country but even so somebody, somewhere, is ripping you off. So avoid the booze and the nibbles and you will have a perfect stay. Read less
I've been there quite a few times, and each time loving it more. Balinese therapists are excellent. They really know their job well. Perfect pressure and the environment is very relaxing. Music...
