My husband and I stayed here for two nights in January 2015. We used Hyatt points for our stay here. I found this hotel to be an ok value for the quantity of Hyatt points required. We booked two... Read more nights because our flight into Dubai landed quite early (around 5:30 am) and we wanted to be able to get some rest before we left for a long day of exploring Dubai. The hotel is a rather short taxi ride from the airport but the taxi rides in Dubai are not cheap. The fare adds up quickly. The style of the room was not really our style (definitely prefer a more clean, modern look) but it clearly was going for the gold-everywhere look. The front desk staff was helpful and kind. Overall though, there was nothing that really stood out about this hotel but it fit the bill for what we needed during our short stay in Dubai. Read less
I was in Dubai and needed a hotel for three nights. I landed on the Grand Hyatt because I had important meetings and needed to be fully rested and alert. I thought this high-end hotel would be the... Read more ticket. The hotel was very elegant with many nice shops, restaurants, spa, fitness center, grounds, walk ways, fountains and pools. It is actually one of the nicest hotels that you can find. All the nice stuff is cool, but for me a nice bed is the most important. I had a very basic room and my bed was so brutally uncomfortable that I eventually pulled off the covers and slept on the floor. It was hard and lumpy and I was unable to sleep most of the night. It was like sleeping on bumpy ground. I checked out the next morning to find another hotel. When I gave my comments at checkout, I was told by the staff that most of the guests like hard beds. For me, if I am paying 2300 AED ($626 USD) before tax for a hotel room, I want something more than a basic room with a terrible bed. I want to sleep on a cloud. The next day I was wasted, sleepy and sore. My meetings were below my expectations and I began to feel angry. My feelings are something that I can control and thus I have decided to put this behind me and regain a good attitude. No sour grapes to the Grand Hyatt. Read less

Read more temperature beautiful at the large pool area. Beautifully manicured grounds, helpful smiling staff, and a good selection of restaurants onsite. We were in a club room, so had use of the club lounge for breakfasts and dinner, though we dined out most nights. If you want to get to all the action around Dubai Mall or Jumeirah, you will need to get a taxi, but they are inexpensive, and the driving is an experience all of it's own! Will definitely aim to stay there again on way through to UK, or even for a visit just to Dubai. Read less
