Impressive hotel in a quiet part of Dubai. It has a spectacular interior complete with rain forest and numerous restaurants. The rooms are good, spacious and have terrific understated bathrooms... Read more . As you might expect, the restaurants are pretty good but not cheap. I think the cheapest bottle of wine was about £50. I suppose that's par for the course in Dubai. Its a bit off the beaten track but the metro is close by and you can get to any other location with that. All the staff were courtuous and helpful. Read less

We stayed at this hotel located in Deira opposite the gold souk for 4 nights. Check in was slow and took 20mins with staff wandering off whilst people were still waiting in the queue, when I did... Read more eventually reach the front the girl spent 5 mins clicking buttons to check me in ( why when you have all the details??? ), not a good start. The room itself was good with a nice view over the creek, comfortable bed, shower was powerful, good selection of TV channels and plenty of space. The hotel pool was a bit small and the concrete area surrounding it a bit depressing and old fashioned, needs brightening up a bit!! Theres not really a decent bar in this place which was disappointing. Buffet breakfast had the usual stuff ( no pork though ) but compared to other 5 star hotels in dubai was a bit unimaginative for the price charged ( standard tomatoes, mushrooms tuurkey bacon etc ), so would get a bit boring after a couple of visits...they need to spice it up with some other dishes. Main problem ( and it really is a pia ) was the hotels location as its is isolated from main town, and the concierge team at the front seem very reluctant to call taxis / have them waiting in a rank, but instead try and forcefully persuade you to use the premium private taxis ( which they obviously get a commission on ), so theres always a long queue ( 20mins+ ) to get a normal taxi...management need to clamp down on this scam as its really upsetting the guests!! Due to the isolated location and poor quality pool area probable wouldnt stay here again. Read less

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel in my view. The Stunning and unusual feature of a rain forest in the centre of the hotel completes the luxurious surroundings and amenities... Read more . We stayed in a standard room which are a very generous size and the bathroom likewise, with everything you could ever need and more. Every single part of the hotel is immaculately clean and the staff extremely warm, friendly, helpful, polite and happy. Having only spent three nights here , it was impossible to try each of the 14 restaurants, however the few we did try were fantastic. Lots of choice at breakfast and again such good quality, especially the pastries and waffles . All in all I don't have enough superlatives to use, the Grand Hyatt is fabulous and the staff just as fabulous. There is no hesitation at all in recommending this hotel and would go back in a heartbeat. Read less
