The hotel

Tenaya Lodge’s setting takes some beating — bordering the Sierra National Forest and set on 75 stunning acres, it’s surrounded by nature. The hotel has plenty of activities, including a choice of trails and a guided walk to a hidden waterfall. Grab your hiking boots, or maybe a mountain bike, and head out to explore. At the end of the day, take a dip in the outdoor pool, get a s’mores kit and sit around the outdoor fire pits, or grab your torch and head out on a night hike. After all that activity, you’re likely to sleep well.

It was one of the best trips we've had. Stayed in the Cabins, and what a great experience. The back porch is looking into the forest with 2 bedrooms and a living area with a small kitchen. Interiors are well designed with wilderness as a theme. Continental breakfast is served in the morning and Smoores at night in the main hall. All employees are friendly and professional. Dinning at the main lodge is always excellent. Transportation to and from your cabin to the main lodge is just a phone call away. They pick you up and drop you off, which is great. We've stayed at the main lodge multiple times, and cabins are the best. Highly recommend to stay at Tenaya Read less

The lodge is absolutely beautiful. It was a great place to celebrate my birthday. Everything was fantastic even the weather. They had a birthday Tray with all kinds of goodies and a bunch of fun stuff for the dog. They had smores around a bonfire. It couldn't been more perfect.

Carpet is stained and ugly, bathroom is very small and outdated also. There are 3 units in our cottage, the walls and floor are so thin that you can hear every footsteps and doors opening and closing. Definitely not a luxury hotel. With taxes and fees we paid almost $1000 for 2 nights. Definitely not worth the money. The location of the hotel is great and their restaurant’s food is decent. Did not use their pool. Read less

This was gorgeous - much appreciated! Thank you Tenaya team. The cottage had its own little patio. The bathroom was small but adequate- we loved the cottage. Eating here is really expensive. One night we had a pizza from their pizzeria which was very good. There’s a general store at Fish Camp and we bought snacks and food here to eat in the room. The hotel pool is lovely and the outdoor pool is heated. But it’s a bit awkward to walk from the cottage to the pool - 5-6 mins through the forest. Read less
