Middle Eastern beaches

We don’t blame you for not wanting to battle it out for a sun lounger when you’re planning to chill out beach side, so we recommend heading out to some of the Middle East’s most exclusive beach clubs.

In Dubai, you’ll find that the Madinat Jumeirah – Al Qasr is the perfect place for pure, uninterrupted relaxation. With a whopping 2km of private beach, and truly stunning landscaped gardens, there are few reasons not to be able to truly unwind on the stunning pure sandy shores. You’ll truly get the VIP treatment too, with fresh fruit and cool towels readily available for a little soothing refreshment.

Arguably one of the most stunning beach resorts in Oman – Six Senses Zighy Bay resort provides a truly unforgettable beach holiday experience. Found on the tip of the Musandam Peninsula, this luxurious beach and hotel sits against the backdrop of the breath-taking Hajar Mountains. The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle, and relax on the soft sands.

As for the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, the five-star resort of Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi boasts one of the city’s best beaches. The stunning beach here will make you feel that you’ve been whisked away to an island retreat. Boasting a stunning 1km of unspoilt private beach and a fantastic view of the Arabian Sea, it’s the perfect spot to sip a cocktail and unwind. 

 

Fabulous food and fine dining

Whether you’re looking for an evening of romance, or you’re simply a lover of good food; then Dubai is a melting pot for highly regarded restaurants serving a plethora of international cuisine.

Buddha Bar--located in the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel – boasts a truly lavish interior and is generally considered to be one of the best restaurants in the city. Serving up a contemporary fusion of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese dishes; it’s a truly unique dining experience in a fabulous setting.

For a true taste of authentic and award-winning Emirati cuisine, Mezlai boasts a truly inspired menu and a range of contemporary takes on traditional cuisine – an unforgettable culinary experience!

For an evening of true sophistication in Oman, consider heading to The Restaurant at The Chedi Muscat. The elegant décor and crystal chandeliers go a long way to set the scene, with the live piano music really creating a luxurious atmosphere. Seafood is a speciality here, but there’s a range of international dishes on the menu, as well as exemplary traditional Asian and Middle Eastern dishes. 

 

Glamorous shopping

You can’t think of the Middle East without thinking of the excellent shopping experience. Dubai plays host to the magnificent Dubai Shopping Festival for one month in the winter, and we couldn’t talk about shopping in the city without mentioning the Dubai Mall.

Practically a city in itself, the Dubai Mall is the complete shopping experience. Home to an array of shops and boutiques, as well as restaurants and attractions, it’s the largest shopping mall on earth.

As you might expect, Dubai Mall is not your typical retail outlet, as it’s also home to an impressive ice rink and an underwater zoo. But if clothes and couture is more your thing, then its 1,200 stores won’t disappoint, with Fashion Avenue hailed as an internationally recognised fashion hotspot. You’ll also find a whole host of elegant dining options too.

Similarly, the Abu Dhabi Mall is a great place to go shopping, day or night. Home to 500 shops, you’ll certainly find plenty of places to exercise your credit card and pick up the latest fashions. If it’s labels you’re after, then Marina Mall is home to nearly every designer brand you can think of, from Gucci and Armani to Fendi and Prada – it’s a label-lover’s paradise.

If you’re after luxury fragrances, then Muscat in Oman is home to the infamous Amouage brand, which has been creating some of the world’s most expensive and unique perfumes, using classically exotic ingredients. 

 

It isn't hard to live a life of luxury in the Middle East: whether you want poolside VIP treatment or a stylish mall, home to a plethora of top designed brands; you'll certainly receive the gold-star treatment. We are continually reviewing our flying schedules, taking into account the  Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advice against all non-essential travel. Depending on when you are due to travel, your holiday may be affected and we’ll email you to let you know as least 21 days before travel.

For extra piece of mind, new bookings made before 30 September 2020 for travel up 30 April 2021 also have the flexibility to amend free of charge. If you need to change don’t worry, you can move your holiday as far out as 31 December 2021 subject to availability.

Payment flexibility


Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.

We're flexible with your holiday plans


We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility. 

We'll be in touch by email letting you know how to register to change your holiday plans. You can also log into Manage my booking to find the details there.

You're holiday is going ahead as planned


If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding


Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.

To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
