We have just spent three nights at the Queens, an hotel which we love and have stayed at many times in the past. A beautiful pool in a tranquil courtyard area is a bonus. We had a delicious dinner in The Colony restaurant which was opened by the Management for the few people staying in the hotel after the busy Festival period - an impressive move thank you. The most impressive of all are the incredibly friendly and helpful staff in the hotel. Many have been there for years which is great to see - thank you. We were on the second floor with lovely rooms and modern clean bathrooms! All in all a great stay...we were visiting a mutual friend!! Penny and Jackie Read less

It was our first stay at this charming hotel. We had a lovely large room at the back with a small balcony overlooking the immaculately kept pool and another window looking over the rooftops on to the hills beyond. It was quiet, clean, airy, had a very comfortable large bed and modern bathroom with all the facilities…fridge, kettle etc. The hotel has some lovely traditional features of its era and is immaculately kept throughout. We missed being able to eat in the restaurant and have drinks in the bar because of low occupancy after the pandemic, but I’m sure in time there will be more people staying and hopefully a buzzing atmosphere. The staff were exceptional ….so friendly, helpful and professional. We enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast outdoors at the hotel coffee shop. It was lovely to sit there and watch Oudtshoorn come to life in the morning with a very well cooked breakfast and served with smiles. We look forward to returning next year to stay for longer and exploring this lovely town which has so much history. Read less

A lovely comfortable hotel. A couple of things did go wrong but the staff sorted them out efficiently and quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was a delight and we would definitely recommend using Queens Hotel.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating A fine hotel while traveling through town

The hotel was fine for our one night stay while traveling through town. It felt a bit outdated and a little dark. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but we felt the price was a bit too high. The hotel staff was very friendly.
